RB: How was to record Shackler's Revenge? You did the solo (with your fretless), some rhythm in the pre-chorus and the last shredding in the ending, right?

Ron: If I remember right (barely remember anything more than 5 minutes ago, haha) it was one of the first songs we worked on. I played all the solos - the fretless solo followed by the fretted solo, the end tapping stuff and the bends over it - also the rhythms throughout the song with all the riffing in them.

I disagree. Just because Buckethead can go "super-duper fast!!!" doesn't mean he's better than Slash. Buckethead uses the shittiest guitar effect I have ever heard in most of his songs and Slash has some nice clean ones in which he makes the most meaningful guitar solos with lots of feeling in them. Buckethead just plays really fast. Slash has more skill, Bucketface has faster fingers. Wow. He's soo much better.

i agree in two ways. buckethead has emotions, but i think slash puts more soul into his solos. Buckethead is really good at "gymnastics" if you will, overhand tapping, mindblowing speed, and firefast fingers. He breaks the laws in the rulebook of guitar playing. Slash not so much, so buckethead may be better. BUT that said, Slash is much better for gunsnroses, because that solo, reflects nothing of the REAL gnr. Listen to this solo listen to Nov. Rain solo, tell me which one reflects the old gnr

i see what your saying. I agree Fuckethead, does have better technique and faster strumming and overhand tapping and picks at break neck speed. He know how to play his instrument. But then tell me how slash plays. He does not, build his songs, he moulds them. He starts off with a big glob of clay, and fd starts off with a bunch of steel poles because of the better starting point fh's building will be much better. But he does not improvise. FH may be a better player, but slash is better for gnr
