And it was a fine line to hassle through, too. over 80% of our exports went to Germany before the war, The germans would just have steam-rolled us if we would have cut off those exports, and then what? I am Swedish and I have experienced many intelligente and educated people getting this wrong. Neither Sweden nor Switzerland are countries of any greater significance and most Americans would probably not even know where to find Sweden on a world map. Maybe Alba misspoke, but in any case it seems like she was smart enough to realize Sweden is as neutral as Switzerland. So be nice to her. The most we ever had mobilized during WW2 was around 300 000 (we only mobilized 140 000 when the USSR attacked Finland), most of our equipment was outdated and from what I've heard the training wasn't always that good either.

And since we had always considered Russia to be the biggest threat much of our defenses were in the north, when Germany attacked Denmark and Norway southern and middle Sweden were practically defenseless.
