The legs ar made out of salvaged Monkey Pod wood and the box is maple burl.

Does the wax put a finish on it while you sand?

Yes After sending just buff it with a paper towel.

another great project....great idea for the bowls too...I like to get the wine glasses from thrift stores and break them off so I don't pay $4 per from craft stores...usually no more than .50 each.
