Great video...how exciting is it that he committed to railroads like that for such a visible and momentous occasion! You can understand them wanting to make sure it went smoothly, it almost excuses the abundance of caution.
As for shave and a haircut, josephkennith, see if you can find a clip of Roger Rabbit singing it, then you'll know.

Awesome video! Barack Obama's ride to Washington was one the country will never forget. Also, Why was that regional on the corridor? I thought Amtrak had to shut down all operations until 3:00PM.

Amtrak stopped running trains between Philadelphia and Wilmington at 10:45 and resumed after the Obama Express departed Wilmington. SEPTA started running again to and from Marcus Hook as soon as the OE made it to Delaware, about 12:00. Amtrak trains were delayed about 1 to 2 hours for the rest of the afternoon.

Ah, that makes sense. I thought SEPTA wasn't allowed to run that day. OK, I'm guessing the NJT Atlantic City Line wasn't stopped for the OE then?

That means Shave & A Hair Cut (obviously) 2 or 6 bits, which ever you perfer. 2 bits is worth 25 cents. 6 bits is worth 75 cents.
