Blacks in ecuador aren't mistreated that bad? Maybe not represented but I never remember physically or verbally seeing an Afro ecuadorian being attacked.. I don't remember many as I only saw when I traveled to cost as a kid. Indigenous ecuadorians are treated pretty bad. Black ecuadorians are treated like thugs and

This is very true. I was born and raised in Ecuador and because of my skin color I was privileged. It wasn't until I traveled to the US that I realized what racism was. Now that I live in the US and have lost the white privilege I enjoyed back home in Ecuador I view life in a different way. I hope one day Ecuador becomes a place of equality and not a hierarchy that has preference for those people of light complexion.

In the Dominican republic, Black Dominicans are denied citizenships, In Brazil, a city with a Black majority population had no Blacl major in 82 years & its university only recently start taking in Black students.
