Hmong n "Miao" are of the same origin. The difference is that our dialects are different due to Chinese people trying to persecute all of our people over thousands of years ago. Our people r all scattered all over the world today; but it doesn't matter. When we reunite, our communication is stronger than ever 'cause our people r multalingual everywhere. Our lost written language is now found, we all need to learn it n teach to all our younger generations around the world. One day we will rise.

@JOBOUN please clarify some differences among Hmongs and Miaos in culture. i'm studying different ethnicities in China. is there a "stereotype" in facial features between Hmongs (or Miaos) and the Hans?...i am actually studying a foreign Mainland Chinese girl here in Singapore and i find her face different from most Chinese here who have more sharper features than hers. her cheeks, eyes, and roundish facial shape is closer to the features of most Miaos.

of course we are behind on technology. We lost our KING and our land. Those who were left behine had to covert into Chinese ways or they be kill.
