Anita was indeed a long time LOVE of ELVIS and he did return to her from Germany just as he kissed her goodbye at the airport and what you saw in the auto in the beginning was her kissing his neck she was his only girlfriend. Priscilla was someone he got caught up with because she did look a bit like Anita only she never had the sweet dimples Anita had . I believe he had the dental work done on her teeth because they had the seperation in them in High school. She was his soulmate. she loved him

Th e Sad Part of Elvis' life was he belonged to his fans and never really found happiness in his own life except when he was giving to others. If Gladys had not died Anita would have been Mrs Presley.
Elvis was NEVER with ANY women for 6 years. He NEVER had any relationship longer than the 5 years me was married to Priscilla.

I've read all the books, all the articles and everything in between. There is no doubt Elvis loved Anita Wood, but when Elvis lost his mother little Priscilla was an angel that took her place in Elvis's heart and mind. Elvis was confused because he still loved Anita, but in the end Elvis pursued Priscilla, far be it for a woman to pursue Elvis Presley, he was too macho for that. It's also hard to imagine a 14 or 16 year old girl pursuing a rock icon back in those days.

I know nearly all his songs and all his life, though I have forgotten a lot and lost my book too ): I know I read about this lady too but I do not remember much so ask somebody who knows everything..there are so many people who do after all sadly all his life was made public after his death.
I consider love long term and meaningful when it lasts a lifetime from the time you first started to love someone. Elvis had two of those, Priscilla and Ann Margaret. I found it touching that Ann Margaret and Elvis always kept in touch over the years and that she attended Elvis' funeral.
By the time Elvis was in uniform he had already met 14 year old Priscilla, the woman that would become his wife some 8 years later.. Anita was already history at this point. I've read all the books, all the articles and everything in between. There is no doubt Elvis loved Anita Wood, but when Elvis lost his mother little Priscilla was an angel that took her place in Elvis's heart and mind. Elvis was confused because he still loved Anita, but in the end Elvis pursued Priscilla, far be it for a woman to pursue Elvis Presley, he was too macho for that. It's also hard to imagine a 14 or 16 year old girl pursuing a rock icon back in those days.

I consider love long term and meaningful when it lasts a lifetime from the time you first started to love someone. Elvis had two of those, Priscilla and Ann Margaret. I found it touching that Ann Margaret and Elvis always kept in touch over the years and that she attended Elvis' funeral.

By the time Elvis was in uniform he had already met 14 year old Priscilla, the woman that would become his wife some 8 years later.. Anita was already history at this point. It was a short lived love story really with Anita Wood. Although in the video here there is a striking resemblence between Priscilla and Anita.

She was very much part of his life while he was in Germany and when he returned home she was there to greet him at Graceland. Priscilla visited Elvis 2 years after he left Germany in LA and stayed for 2 weeks and Anita was in his life at that time also because he shipped her back to Memphis the day before Priscilla arrived.

I read somewhere where Elvis had been with over a couple thousand women intimately in his lifetime so there is no telling how many children he has, where the children do not even know it. Elvis gave Anita a diamond and sapphire "promise ring" before he went to Germany, and called her frequently and wrote. Elvis's love letter to Anita is on line where he speaks of a future together, and it is not long before he leaves Germany in March 1960 because he is making homecoming plans, It is also sexy! Anita leaves Graceland in Aug 1962 when she hears him saying to his father he is having the hardest time deciding between Priscilla and Anita. Priscilla moved to Memphis in March 1963.

Hi, I'm sorry I've posted similar posts twice, but I didn't think the originals went through. They all seemed to show up at once. I'm removing the post about the ring where the main difference is I mention Elvis gave her the ring while she was with him when he was shooting King Creole, and the most recent one where I'm talking about his fame and added he had 17#1 hits in a row by 1958.
