  • Awesome... Lumber is easy enough to get... Do you have a hardware only kit? Why send lumber all over the planet when it is there already...

  • Six dislikes? Why?.......What is there to dislike!

Our tunnel (20X12) gets delivered next week! Exciting times!

  • @Crecybowman Thank you for watching our video and yes, we are in the same mind set as you. What is there to dislike? However, we do need to remember our competitors can also vote. Welcome to the wonderful world of Polytunnels..Whoop!

  • We need to build these in Africa!

  • @alancoons Thank you for watching our videos. We'd love to hear back from you if you manage to build Polytunnels in Africa. Best wishes.

  • This was AMAZING!!! Those two guys, BOSS!

Best few minutes I ever spent!!

    Thank you.

  • @marciamarialove Thank you for taking the time to share your AMAZING feedback. (Mick and Steve are certainly troopers!) Thank you for sharing your review and thank you for watching our videos.

  • What music do you guys use for your videos? Thanks.

  • @trafton89 The tune is called You & Me - catchy eh? Thank you for watching our videos.

  • I wonder how often you need to change the soil

  • @seatown001 By properly maintaining your soil in raised beds and unless your plants bring in a soil-borne disease, you shouldn't need to replace your raised bed soil at all - just continue to maintain it! Thank you for watching our video.

  • OMG the ad at start was for roundup eww

  • @cambell1308 Random YouTube ads. Wickes Kitchens for me. You can always skip them if you don't want to view them. Thanks for watching our video.

  • wow, i loved watching this whole video, really good job guys!

  • @spiritshy Thank you for watching our video. We are over the moon to hear you loved watching it. We had a lot of fun making it, along with our other Polytunnel construction videos. A pat on the back for Mick and Steve (the constructors in this video)

  • WE built a stone pation ( me, a lady and my husband) in 4 days, laying measuring digging placing and sanding.. We also remodeled several spaces in my 110 yr old house.. This is easy!!

  • @savgal1211 oops, PATIO..

  • I love this. I can see it in front of me. A Poly tunnel filled with vegetable and in the back, a patch of cannabis for the long cold winters in sweden. This is truly beautiful!

  • @Smokesomeweed76 Thank you for watching our video, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed it! Just to let you know, we can arrange to ship direct to Sweden, you could make your dream come true!

  • @Smokesomeweed76 Det låter inte helt fel du.. det får nog bli ett litet hemmabygge nu framåt våren. Lite fräscha grönsaker och en m2 med favoritörten..

  • lol quick tea brake at 5:53. they look great but too expensive for me

  • @PurebredLondon Thank you for watching our video. What...they had a tea break!! We have a full range of Polytunnels available starting at 6ft wide x 8ft long and have a range of mini polytunnels perfect if you are limited for space, want to try your hand at a new hobby, rediscover an old one or even introduce children to the joys of growing your own.

  • FELICIDADZ , USTED ES UN EJEMPLO A SEGUIR

  • @VIAJEROCOSMICO1 Many thanks for taking the time to share your kind comment. For anyone who doesn't speak Spanish, here is the translation - CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE AN EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW.

  • Thank you for your positive feedback. A polytunnel can be assembled on a combination of surfaces including soil, concrete or timber sleepers (like we have) A Polytunnel can be tailored with fittings to suit your site requirements. Anchors plates are buried in soft ground to secure the foundations in place, base plates are designed to create feet on a hard surface. Although our polythene covers are guaranteed for 5 years, it is not uncommon to hear they have lasted in excess of 10 years.

  • Hi, I like your video, I see a base where is assemblage all, with witch material is used on it? Metal, cement ? and approximately how many time the plastic works? a year, 6th months?

  • What a wonderful video! Thanks for sharing it!

  • @srfinder Thank you for sharing your positive feedback. We had lots of fun making the video, so we’re delighted to hear you enjoyed watching it.

  • Im sorry but I just had to say the fake sipping of your drink cracked me up thanks I loved the vid smiles.

  • @skjaldmaer Ha, ha. Is it that obvious? More acting lessons perhaps? Happy to know the vid made you smile :-)

  • nice job whats the song? whats the plastic called that you put around the polytunnel? thanks

  • @LiquidDnb4Ever The tune is called You & Me - catchy eh? The polythene is Thermal Anti Fog. 720 Gauge (180 micron) and has a 5 Year Guarantee. This film has added UV A & UV B filters which dramatically reduce many fungal diseases & condensation. Perfect for all crops where heat is important such as bedding/annual plants, propagation houses & over wintered vegetable production. Thank you for your interest.

  • I bought this 30M length x 4M wide plastic sheeting for my tunnel ...and it rotted in less than a year!?! Is all plastic bio-degradable by (environmental) law now?

Are there drainage ditch/soakaways on both sides of that tunnel?

  • @MarkB1ngham The only reason I can think that your piece of polythene failed after such a short period of time is possibly it was not UV stabilise? All First Tunnels polythene is UV stabilised which effectively prevents it from breaking down under its guarantee of 5 years. However, it is not uncommon to hear our covers have lasted in excess of 10 years. We have installed side guttering to collect rainwater and also used gravel around the perimeter of our Polytunnel to help with drainage.

  • @polytunnels Thank you for that, the plastic sheeting I bought was from a builders yard. One time plastic NEVER broke down in the biosphere , environmentalists used to agonise about this, I just wondered whether they've shot us in the foot making us have to replace the sheeting annually when it could last a lifetime? This extra consumption of plastic is surely anti-environmental?

  • @MarkB1ngham It does seem to suggest you have used un-stabilised polythene. All polythene will break down after time but the environmental issues arise when the polythene is buried and hidden away from sunlight as this prevents the polythene from breaking down. Our polythene is UV stabilised and even when the old covers are ready to be replaced, we would suggest trying to re-cycling it into cloche covers.

  • what kind of polytheen is used on this tunnel? thanks

  • @07aturton Many thanks for your question. The polythene used on our 16ft x 30ft Polytunnel is Thermal Anti Fog which is 720 gauge (180 micron) and comes with a 5yr guarantee. This film has added UV A & UV B filters which dramatically reduce many fungal diseases & condensation. FOR USE WITH All crops where heat is important such as bedding/annual plants, propagation houses & over wintered vegetable production. Hope this information has helped.

  • @polytunnels Thanx

  • Amazing! Hope we do as good a job putting our little (2m x 3m) tunnel up this weekend.

  • @moominmamma25 Thank you for your feedback. We hope your Polytunnel construction went well.

  • Yup, they do a fantastic job, but who can afford them??!!

  • @SarzWix One of the major advantages of a polytunnel is cost. The cost of a greenhouse and polytunnel will vary greatly, depending on the type, design and size of model that is required. Generally, based on like-for-like square footage, the set-up costs for a poly tunnel will always prove the cheaper option.

  • Just wondering, what size polytunnel is this? They look fantastic, really want one.

  • @John2992 The size of the polytunnel is 16ft wide x 30ft. Thanks for the positive comments.

  • so how do we find out? just google, I guess!

  • I am thinking of buying one to put my above ground pool in .

  • WOW you work fast lol

that for the video it really helped me alot

  • Effective, and Simplistic Engineering, way to GO!!!

  • looks a piece of cake i could that in half an hour even if i didnt try

  • how weather proof are these in comparison to a greenhouse?
