  • 1:05 to 1:25 watch these 20 secs. just watch his hand gestures to the right and then equate those with bad people

  • Compassion for others, for me, is the heart of all religious thinking. Health care for uninsured kids is a no-brainer.

  • Understand that religious and political leaders of Jesus' day thought they had a corner on truth, but had to be shown repeatedly that they didn't. We moralists tend to forget that Jesus was also a humanitarian. He praised the moral practices of the Pharisees and condemned their omission of weightier matters of the law such as justice, mercy and faith. The rich young ruler prided himself on his morality, but when challenged by Jesus to help the less fortunate, he was unwilling and walked away.

  • If Christianity is not true, why follow it? Who are we supposed to be looking up to if not God? The Bible does promote humility but not a the expense of proclaiming the Truth. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life." How is that not a "corner on truth?"

And what does truth have to do with government provided health care?

  • I agree. I wonder if he thinks the Bible has a corner on truth or if Jesus has a corner on truth. I'd have to talk more with him to understand what he means.

  • Artur Davis is my new political Hero-- and that's a sincere statement.
