Jaden Smith should play Bruce Lee Roy, but i wonder if he is old enough yet, anyway i would pick Smith because he actually has a real Martial Arts Background and he sort of looks like a little Bruce Lee Roy
No remake would ever be as good as this one is but you did make a good call on Sho Nuff. Booker still has a good physique and plenty of acting experience, not as much as Samuel L. Jackson but Sam is a little too old for the part but so is Booker really. Sam would make a good Sho Nuff too though.

Hey! Here's something no one probably ever thought about... how about a prequel? A history was hinted at in the movie, like when Sho'Nuff says he heard Leroy catches bullets with his teeth. Sadly, getting someone to replace Julius Carry is near impossible, especially an unknown(and don't even try that Busta Rhymes idea... what a joke). So you gotta work with what you got. Samuel L. Jackson looks perfect. Lose some weight, 6 months of training & I see no problem.

I really wanna know who will play Leroy, maybe Michael Ja White...JK. Serious maybe Corbin Bleu, he can fight, or Khleo Thomas.
Maybe. I guess, I'd have to say Morgan Freeman (especially after Wanted) or Lajon Witherspoon from Sevendust as Shonuff. As far as Leeroy, it's a toughy. If skin color wasn't an issue, I'd say Jet Li. Li can play off the shy-guy asskicker pretty well, if anyone else has seen The One. But seeing as most people would more or less bitch that he's not black, Lajon would also be a good choice. The guy has the look that can play off many different roles.

I disagree completely and categorically with anyone who *ever* argues that a movie shouldn't be remade. Even if the remake sucks, it doesn't detract from the original in any way. Barry Gordy's The Last Dragon will always grace my DVD rack.

The Last Dragon was a good cheesy fun martial art movie with an awesome soundtrack. The little kid Ernie Reyes Jr. (kid from TMNT 2) makes a cameo and he kicked ass and Sho'Nuff I agree 4theBigtime I loved every moment he was on screen cause his scenes were so cheesy and funny its enjoyable to watch. One of my favorite movies! Who is the badest?! Shonuff! I was so bummed when the actor that played Shonuff died about over a year ago. Honestly I don't want to see a remake. If they do, I'm a big Sam Jackson fan (who isn't?) but he is too old already! If you have never seen this movie, it's not really a hardcore martial arts movie, but it is fun. Another 80's movie similar to this is Big Trouble in Little China, check them both out :)

Hey! Here's something no one probably ever thought about... how about a prequel? A history was hinted at in the movie, like when Sho'Nuff says he heard Leroy catches bullets with his teeth. Sadly, getting someone to replace Julius Carry is near impossible, especially an unknown(and don't even try that Busta Rhymes idea... what a joke). So you gotta work with what you got. Samuel L. Jackson looks perfect. Lose some weight, 6 months of training & I see no problem.

I hate to say it but I do like Samuel L Jackson as Sho Nuff, simply because it's his personality correlates to Sho nuff's so well. but we do need someone that can actually fight, and fight damn well. I don't watch wrestling but the way wrestlers carry themselves on the stage also fits with how Sho Nuff carried himself in the movie. I really wanna know who will play Leroy, maybe Michael Ja White...JK. Serious maybe Corbin Bleu, he can fight, or Khleo Thomas.

Maybe. I guess, I'd have to say Morgan Freeman (especially after Wanted) or Lajon Witherspoon from Sevendust as Shonuff. As far as Leeroy, it's a toughy. If skin color wasn't an issue, I'd say Jet Li. Li can play off the shy-guy asskicker pretty well, if anyone else has seen The One. But seeing as most people would more or less bitch that he's not black, Lajon would also be a good choice. The guy has the look that can play off many different roles.

I totally agree with your pick of Booker T. as Sho-nuff! Hard to make a pick for Bruce Leroy. The original movie had a sweetness and innocence that Taimak projected brilliantly. If Jayden Smith was a little older, he'd be perfect.
I disagree completely and categorically with anyone who *ever* argues that a movie shouldn't be remade. Even if the remake sucks, it doesn't detract from the original in any way. Barry Gordy's The Last Dragon will always grace my DVD rack.

Truthfully they shouldn't do a remake 'cause 9 times out of 10 they always screw it up. But if you have to, they should find a nobody to play Leroy Green/Bruce Leroy like they did the first go round. That's the only way it's gonna be convincing, 'cause here we are trying to think of someone to fill that role and no one comes to mind. The Last Dragon was a good cheesy fun martial art movie with an awesome soundtrack. The little kid Ernie Reyes Jr. (kid from TMNT 2) makes a cameo and he kicked ass and Sho'Nuff I agree 4theBigtime I loved every moment he was on screen cause his scenes were so cheesy and funny its enjoyable to watch. Like the first appearance where he took on the whole audience at the theatre for telling him to shut up and where he said WHO AM I!? at the pizza parlor the goons paused & looked each other then....

One of my favorite movies! Who is the badest?! Shonuff! I was so bummed when the actor that played Shonuff died about over a year ago. Honestly I don't want to see a remake. If they do, I'm a big Sam Jackson fan (who isn't?) but he is too old already! If you have never seen this movie, it's not really a hardcore martial arts movie, but it is fun. Another 80's movie similar to this is Big Trouble in Little China, check them both out :)
