I have a 3d monitor, also a 6950. Where can I buy the glasses? ive heard you cant use nvidia kit with amd gpu and I cant find amd 3d glasses anywhere for sale.
Can someone direct me in the right direction please? Thx alot.
pls Amd include the 3D driver in the CCC! I´m really thinking about selling my 6950 Crossfire Setup to buy Gtx 560 ti Sli and run 3D Vision without problems :( it´s really not that simple like he had said in the video -.-
wait a minute you need a 3d monitor to actually see 3d...with my nvidia card that I had you only needed the drivers and the glasses..why with amd is different..?
@PaulJ95 and 120hz monitor....they don't make those for amd yet...well they do but there are only like 3 to choose from. Why? Nvidia is proprietary, but people are dumb and don't mind proprietary, eg. bluray
@doluseb lol, those charts are to show the compatibility of monitors that will ALLOW 3D.. it's not to show you that 120 hz monitors will only work with Nvidia cards. You need a monitor that is 120 hz so that the glasses work properly, but you can take that same monitor, or any monitor and hook it into an AMD card and it will still work. or any other monitor, but if those monitors are not 120 hz, they will still work, you just wont get 3D.
@1981z28camaro The video on this page and the entire conversation was about 3D compatibility, otherwise it would be a pointless conversation. btw anyone that buys a 120hz monitor and doesn't plan on using 3D is a fucking retard
@doluseb lol, while i would agree with you about not taking advantage of using 3D if you own a 120 Hz monitor, using a 120 hz monitor even without a 3D Vision kit is still better than using a 60 hz monitor, much faster, AND at lower frame rates it appears to be smoother than it would be if you got the same frame rate on a 60 hz monitor :-)
Its about time AMD got their thumbs out of their rear and released a kit with a AMD certified Transmitter and glasses just like NVIDIA has. Right now your Extremely limited in monitor choices as you need something with a integrated Transmitter for the glasses. This rules out 98.5% of all 120Hz Capable monitors on the market.
@PirateTHESteam1 really u dummie... why dont u go and look at the compatible graphics card on AMD website before u say anything... and yes i got to work and still say its all bullshit... this 3d makes u sick cause your too close to the monitor... and most of the game u get a fucked up mouse lagg...
@ukpauliogazzio yes you can, you can even run 4 of them, you just gotta check if your motherboard supports crossfire (multiple AMD cards) sli is multiple nvidia cards. some newer and better motherboards support both crossfireX and sli. :)
Why don't you guys put a 720p or 1080p qualities? From a name like "AMDUnprocessed" with many videos, you would think that they would have High Def of the videos. Are you guys just ripping them off from some other site?
I like both companies (I have ATI and Nvidia cards). But the reason why Nvidia win in this case (and personally, I don't care about 3D) is support for games. Part of 'the way it's meant to be played' initiative is to work with game companies to make sure that drivers/3d etc work properly at launch. ATI don't do this, thus you are at the mercy of the middleware/game developer
I'm not a fanboy of NVIDIA.. but the 3D stuff at NVIDIA is a thousand times simpler, and I guess also better.. if somebody's willing to say it's not go on, but you're wrong.. Also I guess the NVIDIA glasses are better than those that come with 3D TVs.
@JoesPlaying u are right, nvidia owns ati with that part. and im also a ati fanboy (running 2x 6970). but sony or phillips, samsung or whatever also makes really good 3d glasses, if not better. they cost like 150-200 euros though (in holland)
@destanakkus1 Yeah man, I like LG 3d solutions alot, now even better with passive glasses that have no electromagnetic waves and are passive and not active shutters, they're true 3d and don't and won't ever hurt your eyes, love it! :P
@JoesPlaying yeah 3d is getting better and better, but i heard that they are developing a new type of 3d, hologram gaming :D for that you dont even need glasses, that would be soo pimp!
I have a rather important question! I read on the amd website that HD3D is supported on both 5XXX & 6XXX card series with a small note that says 3D Bluray playback requires a 6XXX card which I reckon because 6XXX series includes the 1.4 HDMI port. So, what I understand is that, I can also enjoy HD3D with a 5XXX card that has the 1.3 port, is that correct??? Please reply, its mighty important for me to get this straight before I throw my money on a new card.
I think nvidia's 3d is a little simpler. It's also supported on older gpus... I like AMD for cpu's and nvdia for graphics. I'm rockin an athlon ii x4 at 3.00ghz and a 55nm gtx 260 core 216 and it runs crysis 2 at advanced at 1920x1080 :D
Nvidia fanboy here ( but i always go with AMD processors. )
I havent done a lot research but it seems that AMD/ATI doesnt have a card that gives the same price-to-performance ratio like the GeForce 560 Ti. Anybody know a card within $20 of a 560 ti that can beat it?
@uuuaaaaaa LoL, sure Bulldozer may be faster than sandy bridge and/or nehalem, but it's a good 6 months behind. The number of people AMD has already lost to Intel due to the time it's taken them to bring out their next generation... LoL, I believe their market share has fallen to something around 13% recently :/
And until it does come out and they can benchmark it, I don't believe it's 50% faster, that would be SERIOUSLY good, 10-25% is the norm, and far more reasonable ^^
@arghnews That number was pulled out by AMD, they didnt said that it was faster than sandy bridge, but, i believe bulldozer can match an overcloked sandy bridge. Also looking to the recent news about the boards with the 990FX, sli support and the features, i strongly believe that Bulldozer will pull some really good numbers, and i dont mean it will compete with the upcomming Ivy bridge cpu's, but i expect strong performance and great price.
@SmelDiferenToMidget "6 months ago" , but wait until the windows 7 patch, thread selection is not being done properly, some apps gain 30% performance from that.
@uuuaaaaaa even if that happens, it will still be slower than an i7 2600k, or i7 2700k
I dont have nothing against amd, i think their products are far more cheaper for what you get; but they are not faster than the best(and more expensive) intel products
@SmelDiferenToMidget yes it is true, but amd bulldozer is not as good as people expected... there is some hope, they are changing to tsmc and hopefully some bugs will be corrected.
@ukjamie96 7month ago. And it was discovered, the news only came out today, that bulldozer has 800million less transistors than AMD thought (40% less), a bunch of people got fired, actually an entire department. This might be the reason they are droping their production from Global Foundries and going to TSMC. They marked bulldozer as an high end cpu, and with 40% more transistors it could have been.. So the next revision of bulldozer should perform significantly faster than this one.
@KiillWiithMe Yeah but nvidia are kinda overpriced and some of their cards do suck like the 7100 tbf, wheras amd or ati however you like have decent cards for the price :)
@ISA80I And it just doesn't matter. You need a highend card to play in 3D anyway. You get about the same performance for the price with Nvidia and AMD cards. The way I see it you just have to decide if you want green or red glasses.
