This is my go-to song for just about any difficult emotion. I'm convinced the true tragedy behind Counting Crows is the songs that are the best, were never played on the radio. Adam's pain has given us an incredible gift in the lyrics. He writes brilliance. It's plain and simple.
its raining here now!!! I HAVE been playing this song for days.....love this version hitting replay over and over.........just one thing you remember about me......remember about me...
This song means so very much to me. I think some of you out there might understand exactly what I;m saying. How it hurts when someone you love beyond definition has not seen you lately when you share the same bed....
i love Adam!! i will never forget the first time i heard "Mr. Jones" i couldnt beleive it! i was like.... say waaaa???????? Then i was wow!!!!! best song i have ever heard in my life.
its like musical gold or diamonds or sex or something we hold as such materialistic animals but yet its the opposite because its something you feel but don't own. unless you count iTunes 10010001000010000 001001001101001010 000101001101101010 etc mp3 as owned? or merely paid for and borrowed form the government
Some people have a gift of being able to vocally express situations in their lives, tragic or amazing and give everybody who may have experienced something close to what they are talking about, complete peace knowing they are not the only ones.
This reminds me to the day that I was out on the road.....going what the hell am I doing so far from home......and why am I here.....when all I want to be is home....
what i still cant seem to rap my head around, is how a beautiful, meaningful, sad but yet sweet song like this could only get 60,761 views. but any of t-pain and lil waynes computeriezd voices can easly top million. the music industry these days has manupulated an art that was once a way to express feelings and talent, and they have made it into a money, and sex crazed industry. its quite sad.
The Crows are an awesome band. Think about it, how many bands are still together after 16 years? Adam Duritz is an amazing lyricist and songwiriter. His band is great. Why Saturday nights and Sunday mornings didn't makeit big, I'll never know. Think about it, Dream of Michaelangelo, Come around, you cant count on me, cowboys, etc. Great music when there is no great music on radio. Keep on Counting Crows. You are a great band. Thank you for the music.
@inmantracy I absolutely agree. So underatrated it's not funny. But I like it like that and I'm thinking they (Counting Crows) are happy with were they're at. Saw them in Melbourne '09. Fantastic.
Poor Adam. He's such a wounded soul. Yet, that allows him to make music with such profound and heartfelt lyrics. I forgot just how much I love this CD. Thanks for sharing.
I totally agree... Can´t tell what I feel when Adam almost cries "can you tell me one thing you remember about me"... I can almost put myself there...
And this acoustic version is just awesome... I´m glad to share it with you
