  • this is prolly da best intro ever!

  • whoa whoa whoa back the fuck up...i just watched Transformers 3 and this didn't show up. I guess it's cause I watched it at Ward?

  • OMG!!!!!! I used to live in Hawaii for 13 years and THIS was ALWAYS at every theater. I remember being a rowdy ass kid at Pearl Ridge Theaters. Does anyone live there now? Did they finally up date that theater or is it still ghetto as fuck?

  • I miss this! Doesn't play at Makalapua though..

  • I miss this intro so bad. Want to go movies as soon as I get back to Hawaii. Don't care what's showing, as long as the intro is right.

  • I always got shivers when the drum beat came in. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • R.I.P.: Waikiki twins, Waikiki #3, Marina twins, Kuhio twins, Cinerama, Kapiolani, Varsity twin theaters.

    Wow, I'm old.

  • Agree w/ the person who said that now some of live mainland, when you go to the movies, you expect this. When no mo dis intro, it just feels not right...

  • @bulldogs5

    true that

  • Does anyone know the full name of this? If there is one. Aloha.

  • Love this. I used to see it all the time out at the mall in pearlcity. It really makes me miss Hawaii. It's been 6 and a half years since I've seen it.

  • This intro never gets old!

  • This makes the movie 10x as EPIC!

  • my younger sister was so scared of this. she'd cover her ears when this came on.

  • its funny...that when us locals move to the mainland, you expect this to come on, and you get all sad and disappointed when it doesn't. good times.

  • This hasn't been since 1987. I remember the big deal that was made over it's release and I moved to Hawaii in 1990.I think it was 1992 for the 75th anniversary.

  • this scared me when i was little

  • absolutely love this!!! makes me happy every time i go to the movies:)

  • Hawaii ftw

  • Gives me chicken skin everytime.

  • I still remember the old consolidated one before this, When they had the wave crashing over the words like " no talking and smoking during the movie" and then there was a part when there was a crying baby and everyone in the theater would laugh and the wave would crash over it.

  • I remember that trailer. There was a cartoon baby and the caption said "we love babies". Then the baby started crying and got yanked away. Yeah that was funny.

  • fuck i almost regret moving to Los Angeles. (im a native of Hawaii)

  • i love watching this in the theaters

  • Man, i've seen this video so many times already. But that's because Consolidated Theaters is the only theater I actually go to. What it pay's to live on Oahu.

  • lived in hawaii for 6 years while in the military, my gf at the time and i practically lived in the mililani movie theatre, currently in nursing school and will be moving back to hawaii as soon as i get licensed, thanks for posting! great memories for me!! :-)

  • RIght on bro, you can see it in person once again!

  • I love this trailer. Nostalgia, nostalgia... though the best time I saw it was with a friend and he did a play by play descriptor of the dance sequence... for instance, when the girls point their arms to the left and to the right = "put your popcorn/candy and your soda's in the compartments provided," or when the guys bring their arms in, with their pointer finger up as if to say, "shhh, be quiet, the movie is about to start..." And the music and the images of Hawaii... it is just about PERFECT.

  • I lived in Hawaii for 14 years and saw this many times while working as an usher for the Waikiki 3. Thanks to whoever posted this. I brought back great memories............

  • Damn...why'd you have to bring up the Waikiki 3....Now I'm totally taking a trip down memory lane.....

  • Waikiki 3! Damn I remember seeing Terminator 2 as a kid there. Just memories now...

  • cheeee

  • ho this always gives me the chills

  • Wow, really takes me back to being a kid. Thanks for posting this!

  • Love the music. I must have seen this trailer over a thousand times growing up.

  • Hey Jon, I can see why. Nice work, very consice and to the point. Great music too. Your friend, Ray Law. God Bless.
