  • i thought that was a real person at first... i was like who the fuck would volunteer to do this??

  • are these with every oakley lenses??

  • @chengyman2009 yep.

  • 2 people were shot in the eye

  • So your saying these are bulletproof? WOW!

  • Comment removed

  • hmm on the m-frame high mass impact test, it looked like the lens bent so far that it could have harmed they eye...

  • what's the name of this song? please ;D

    thanks

  • Oakleys are perfect for uspsa, idpa and other shooting competitions. Especially when you're shooting at steel. There's always a chance that bullet fragments could hit you and you don't want to risk not having your eyes protected.

  • I really want those MARS and they don't make them anymore! FML!!!!!!!

  • It's about EYE protection, not a BODY ARMOUR ! :) Some says "what if i hurt any other part of my body...?Well, I don't know dude, Oakley is the best on EYE PROTECTION, I suppose Oakley Inc. can tell something for those who break their arm while wearing Oakley sunglasses... ;))

  • Never imagine you could get that kind of protection for your eyes

  • Oakleys are the best protection glasses! Haha sweettttttt.....

  • EU FIZ O TESTE E DEU CERTO AH LENTE NAO QUEBRO

  • Lol, at first I didn't realize the 2nd test wasn't Oakley and I was like D:

Oakleys are perfect for Baseball and Airsoft. Low profile eye protection for airsoft and polarized glasses that don't fall off your face for baseball. Oakleys are definately the way to go.

  • @FKRairsoft Looking for information about Wiley X, I've read a lot of people enjoying in airsoft the Wiley X due to their cavity seal. So the BBs cannot get in.

  • @Victortrotska I've never heard of Wiley X but my Oakley Split Jackets cover all around my eye so I don't have that problem.

  • his is oakley !! good job from brazil san of the a bitch seus viados filhos da puta not sei fala ingres kkkkkkk seus viados

  • And this is why the only sunglasses I will ever purchase will be oakleys

  • I would hate for that to be my face!!!

  • well, shit, I guess I know not to buy every other one

  • omfg! my eyes!

  • Yay I have bulletproof sunglasses :)

  • So, i can use these glasses and let someone shoot on my eye, right?

    lol, just kidding.

    Great vid dude!

  • 1:44 ouchie

  • Anyone can test to a standard such as ANSI provides as long as you follow the test specification accurately. You can claim a product is tested and passed if you are a certified test centre but the government themselves don't need to do the test.

  • @nuclearthreat545

    High Mass Impact Test Comparison

Metal spike (more than a pound of weight) dropped from over four feet

Real world scenario: Getting hit by the tip of a ski, baseball or other large projectiles.

    High Velocity Impact Test Comparison

Quarter-inch steel shot traveling at 102 mph

Real world scenario: Hazardous sports and occupations that expose you to flying rocks and debris.

  • @nuclearthreat545 the ball bearing is fired at 163kilometers per hour from 8 inches away

  • @nuclearth

    With any due respect:

The video's fine. Very well produced but possibly not a fair comparison.. some of the fails look like glass lenses perhaps.

You are bullshit. You are bullshit because you are either too stupid or too lazy to notice that each test is preceded by the benchmark being certified against.

But then an idiot such as yourself who knows nothing, wouldn't know what ANSI is.. Also wouldn't even think to look it up!

High marks on the fail scale to you dumbass.

    LOL

  • @nuclearthreat545

    High Velocity Impact Test Comparison

Quarter-inch steel shot traveling at 102 mph you should really try reading the descrip b4 you try to talk crap

  • @MrHello12314 You're an idiot MrHello, I hope you realize things can be edited at any point in time.

  • @nuclearthreat545 ur an idiot nuclearthreat its tested like that by oakleys and if that was fake that would be false advertisement and thats against the law and oakleys would be stupid because they would get sued and they are a big company they make all the eyewear for the military and there are soldiers that have had shrapnel from an ied hit them and it not break the glasses. so you might not wanna talk shit unless you have facts

  • @nuclearthreat545 If you think its bullshit go to the Covent Garden Store in London..! They have the machine you goon!

  • @nuclearthreat545 /watch?v=iEjcwvKH5FM

  • @nuclearthreat545 ANSI Z87.1 test

  • Comment removed

  • @nuclearthreat545 owend =)

  • fucking traumatizing

  • of course its biased, nothin beats ess though, oakleys cant stop .22s

  • Boom EYESHOT!

  • ok, now show bout 50 bbs goin torwards the guys face

  • Oakley safety glasses saved my eyes, no joke, I'm a carpenter and accidently ran a circular saw over a peice of nail stuck into wood, and it shot a nail shard at my eyes. Didn't even scratch the lense and it was going fast.

  • HEADSHOT

  • On top of that, I wonder how much they changed the velocity of the BB and the inertia of that pole for the crappy pair of sunglasses. Once again, biased testing.

  • @Brandonduboff You do know that before they show the test, they show the brand of sunglasses on top of "HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT"? They say:

    Maui Jim-Tortoise

    Ray Ban-Predator

    Revo (?)

These are sunglasses that well reach the $200 mark, polarized or not.

There are more test of other people who do unbiased testing and actually show comparisons to the same glasses from Oakley and it's competition. Please do some research before mocking a brand, not your own opinion...

  • @ambient0902 thanks man I had no idea. Who does this unbiased testing? Its actually kind of interesting. Can you just give a link?

  • @Brandonduboff when I say "this" I mean the unbiased testing your refering to, bno the one in this video, as obviously its by Oakley

  • @Brandonduboff Actually these are ANSI impact tests, the gold standard for measuring safety.

ANSI Z87.1 establishes performance criteria and testing requirements for devices used to protect the eyes and face from injuries from impact, non-ionizing radiation and chemical exposure in workplaces and schools.

  • @garage0racing so is that where you got this video from?

  • @Brandonduboff if it is, and this is a government video; I have no idea how you could have gotten the rights to such video. take care, and thanks for response

  • I wonder where they found those dollar store sunglasses. Isn't biased testing fun?

  • Cool... Glad I have my Oakley Radar.. The lenses will still no doubt have some sort of a scratch or a mark after impact as the lenses are not fully scratch resistant, but at least they won't shatter all over your eyes on impact.... This is pretty much a fact when it comes to Oakley lenses..

  • a maix resistente q eu já vii

  • i love oakleys, got a Juilet, but why heck would you need to have protection from a metal bb flying towards your eye

  • @aznboi1214 Wtf your stupid. Its a test, its just for anything hard and fast coming at your glasses.

  • I hope that's a dummy my whole family has oakleys

  • god i hate it when people randomly shoot me in the face with high velocity bbs and stab me in the eyes with giant metal spikes. thank god for oakleys! lol

  • Oakley is awesome. M frames and flak jackets proctected my eyes time and time again during my deployments

  • ae taah certo (y)

  • oooo fallai oculos d borraxa

  • Caralho q mentira !

  • This is very informative. Too bad we can't get them at a discounted price like military.

  • my name is oakley :]

  • cool song

  • i LOVE FILTER

  • ronaldo

  • the name of the song?

  • the song is "Trip Like I Do" by Crystal Method and Filter

  • That is pretty cool that oakly reflects them but seriously, If i saw something flying at my head i wont be thinking "Its ok my sunglasses will save me" Im pretty sure ill be trying to find a way to avoid it.

  • yeah but in the case of the bb, you wouldnt see it coming, and you would be blind if you got hit in the eye with it, so the glasses would have saved you.

  • yeah but its just the fact that it wont blind you if it happens

  • or if ur in a car crash lol.

  • só qem eh ..

  • oakley e zika mesmo

  • They aren't "braking" huh? I think they better "brake" before they run into the brick wall and BREAK their bones.

    Break, not brake.

    Break = shatter

    Brake = slow down

Having your sunglasses "push" into your eye is better than having a projectile and thousands of shards of plastic fly into your eyeballs.

  • tru dat bro (or sis)

  • Actually, Oakley lenses fail the test if the lens touches the eye cavity upon impact.

  • @Quake120 cyber five man that is so true im thinking of geting a oakley flak jacket xlj cyberfive!!!!:)

  • @smartpunk15 You do have eyelids dumbass.

  • ROFL, They will never so that with Ray bans now because they are owned by the same people.

  • Why the thumbs down, they are indeed owned by rayban now!!!!! I bought a spare last year (you can still buy them). I doesn't say made in whatever. I think they are made in China! BTW: I bought them from the Oakley store in the mall!

  • ray ban doesnt own oakley. Luxicotta (an italian eye wear company) owns Ray Ban and Oakley

  • no if you read on the 2nd of each test they are other brands

  • What? Half of the glasses break...

Oh... and... WileyX is the best.

  • That's because all the ones that break are of other brands, and Oakley is showing us how their superior lens strength compares to other brand's lenses.

And I don't know why so many people are thumbing your comment down! Weird, eh?

  • Ah yeah, now I see... but those other brands' glasses don't look like they were designed as ballistic spectacles.

I still like my WileyX lenses, they withstand the same tests.

And I honestly don't care who gives me thumbs, really :P

  • I agree they don't. As for WileyX I can't say I've ever heard of them!

Anyway it's nice to know if I'm sitting there and a ball bearing comes flying at me at 175kph then my Radars will protect my eyes! :-)

  • OMG

    OAKLEY THE BEST
