Thanks for your kind words Brendan. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. In my case, it outwardly manifests itself as a tremor in my right hand. Both the Jamieson captive arm and the articulated arm boring system are a God-send for me as I can better control my tremor hand. I admit that the video is VERY amateurish. However, I made it to 'enlighten' some friends and family who follow my woodturning hobby.
That is a great aid to hollowing. I made one just like that because buying one from Monster Lathe Tools was going to cost me twice the price of the tool by the time I got it sent to Ireland and paid taxes and customs fees. I find the tool takes a lot of the back ache out of hollowing. I am about to add a laser to mine but that's more of a luxury than a necessity.
that looks like something someone like me with ra could possibly use for spindle turning. thanks for the video very informative.
