Well, they won't even get to jail. They will be asked to pay a fine (which of course will be so little) and they will laugh at the whole situation saying they got to be known at least.
Mauritius has got no law severe enought to punish murderers and am talking about human killing humans, so imagine, now a horse (though a life is a life). In case the horse was really ill and they could not take care of it, they had better gone to a vet and pay for an injection...

La plupart des proprietaires de chevaux sur l'ile sont a blamer. Avant de donner un cheval qui leur ont fait gagner des milliers de sous, ils auraient pu au moins payer pour faire le suivi de ces chevaux, et ne pas les donner a n'importe qui. La police devrait embarque le proprio et ces damnes de gamins et continuer l'enquete au niveau de la MTC pour rechercher tous les fautifs, Ce que je constate c'est que leur priorite c'est de redorre l'image du pays,quel connerie ce pays, j'ai honte pour eux

I'm really shocked to see how our humans can be more animal than any other predator. It's an insane behavior. If they can make it to an animal they can make the same to human beings in the future.
