  • Sabotage?

  • @aviatorsbh where did you get the glider

  • No! Billy! Noooooo!!!!!

  • If ya cant afford the crash, ya cant afford this hobby. I dont think ya loss anything valuable. High wing planes= cheaper by the dozen.

  • same sort of thing happend to me twice but only lost 1 plane due to it but sine swaping my dx6i to a hitec a9 ive never had that problem for a good year now :)

  • Comment removed

  • I feel your pain. Plane looks repairable but its too late now. Cool video!

  • bungee sprung due to "fly by". just climb and let go. you would never tow a car with a bungee??? plus you need to keep tension on line. glider has more lift than tow plane. keep tow plane climbing with lots of power. Yours snapped and stalled tow plane.

  • never bungee cord!!!!!!!!!!

  • A well made and fitting video to a great looking plane. Keep up the spirits and look ahead to the next adventure.

  • hahaha

  • Not to sound harsh, but my little avistar looked alot worst when I crashed it into the ground. It is expensive and frustrating I agree. Happy flying.

  • sorry dude

  • So sad :-(

  • I laughed out loud at this. Look at that smashed up thing! LOL

  • your plane died the way it had lived, as an inanimate object......

and that's all anyone can hope for

  • bwahahaha LOL

  • servos*

  • you say it was probably battery, maybe the failsafe was servers going berserk?

  • @MeanMeyerMan It is not common to use failsafes in RC planes because you have no use when the failsafe stops all servo movements and cuts off the throttle or so. The result would be the same. For planes it is best when the servos always respond to control, even in case of a radio disturbance, just to make them respond faster or just again after the disturbance is over.

  • @aviatorsbh i did try a modding a fail safe so the servos went in to a glideing position nrly worked but it hit a tree

  • @aviatorsbh "Pretty"? Do these planes talk too?

  • @coolsax64 Don't take that so serious!

  • Whats so tragic about this?

  • @coolsax64 This was my only crash that was not caused by myself, but some technical failure. So it was very frustrating to see a beautiful pretty young plane go down without having any influence on that.

  • I had tears in my .. but it was because i yawned :)

  • THE GLIDER SURVIVED

  • still never mind eh

  • I know this video is ancient, but I just felt like commenting. The music does perfect.

  • LOL "it was only 2 years old" my glider held 6 months :P

  • damn nice plane and thats one lucky glider

  • Good video! Sorry for your loss. What is that music? It is so appropriate. Thanks.

  • Such appropriate music: "Asa's Death" - Edvard Grieg

  • :'( Lemme finning sobbing

  • That was on my 9th birthday lol

  • @CrazyBoyDD Great, that means my time calculation was correct! I did that just to your birthday entertainment!

  • Don't worry, it lived a good life...

  • glad the pilot was not killed.

  • Unruckeeeeeee!

  • sorry bout your plane dude that must suck

  • The pilot of the plane died in the ditch crash when he didn't notice that his controls were glitching.

The camera man survived with non serious injuries, crashing into the same ditch.

  • @NamgcoStudios Thats not true. The glider landed savely after the incident.

  • @aviatorsbh obviously it didnt land safely

  • this is why i have 3 batts on my mig 25 and all of my esm/ cmp war birds

  • They just dont make them like they use too.

  • Very fixable

  • My Condolence... Rest In Peace, poor little plastic-pilot man... :'(

  • What a shitty plane. I think it committed suicide

  • God bless the plane ;-) So bad this happens to you... Now, i hope you bought a dual powering system ?

  • @lothar2048 I would not repeat the same mistake, so my new plane has two batteries.

  • how sad. we need FAA to investigate this.

  • .asp?th=35753&p=1

  • Check out Dub dub dub .modelflying.co.uk/forums/postings

  • Looked an easy fix to me. I have repaired worse.

  • Lol today my planes speed control flamed out and luckily the plane was just 1 m in the air cause i lost total control over it

  • sad

  • T_T Requiscant in Pace ( Rest In Peace)

  • I'm sorry for ur loss. lets take a moment to remember the beautiful plane. :(

  • the music made it emotional

  • this is lame i only came for the pov.... POV crash landing. still sad but i was really hopping for some pov action

  • it just needs a little gorilla glue...can i have it??

  • Too bad

  • really like the glider onboard footage. Well if you devide the number of flights you had by the cost of the crash then it is not too expensive.

  • Loved the glider-cam :D

  • I'm sorry for your loss

  • @Antbanks2626.. Powered a/c will always win against a nonpowered a/c in a tug of war. that little glider can try to pull all it wants, and to a certain extent, it'll make things difficult, but in the end, the towplane would win and jerk it around bc it's heavier and delivering power (not needing gravity to be its only means of thrust). and cut the crap with the CAPS...try decaf.

  • aviator, what is this audio track? (and what camera?)

  • My uncle had a B17 that was so big the authorities stopped him from flying it in Alabama, on account of it was actually bigger and heavier than a piper super cub. Those were the days Radio control was vacuum tubes and iffy. The props were belted to a single 90 hp engine in the fuselage from a small piper. If it had crashed it would have wrecked a car or a house. He eventually dismantled it. Parts were donated to local airports around the south, for display on walls. It flew five times.

  • 100000000000000

  • $6,000 down the drain?

  • Man , that was very hard crash. But the onboard camera was Perfect ! Good video but , im sorry to know that :(. Do you have still have some RC plane ?

  • I AM GOING TO CRYYYYYYYYYYYY :'( :'((((((((

  • i feel sorry for you and the plane it must have been sad but the good thing is the glider ascaped!!!!!

  • the aftermath crash looks realistic.

  • Wow. You made a really nice video. Its like a small amadeus movie. Wonderful pictures from the cam with great expressions. Not all airplanes have the luck to be in great movie in the final flight....Thank u for sharing that.

  • that's a bit sad ;(

  • AEEEEEE The plane was ugly as fuck anyways by the way the music reminded me of an old alcoholic women crying

  • You should put up a gravestone for it where it crashed, i had one of them, great fun to fly.

  • so cool.

  • that's sad thought you know!!!! Which turns me emotional with your sound....

  • Super Clean Footage man!! How much drag is that extra tow on the motor, %age wise??

  • @david1575cm7 What do you mean? When flying horizontally I need 60-70% throttle instead of 40-50. Climbing always asks for full throttle.

  • break out the elmers and pins, we have a night ahead of us!

  • Rest in peace

  • Well look on the bright side at least there was no one killed! Nice music fits video as its the end of its life. Hope you have more luck from now on:-)

  • ha ha!!

  • Liked the music. Is that Grieg?

  • hey i used to have one of these planes and my just crashed on its own 2 lol maybe a design fault but i wernt towing anything lol and i dont have vid uploaded will have a look for it

  • its just a toy...

  • you should get a c-47 tug plane

  • Was there any survivors? Tragic crash...

  • Give me your address ~ I'll arrange for an entire case of Kleenex to be sent to you, in any color you like. I mean, honestly, RC airplanes were made to be destroyed ~ the only variable is "when?" will they crash.

  • I feel for you. Great vid though... Good luck with your next project.

  • Okay the glider was tryin to shoot down the enemy plane like NAHNAHNAHNAHNAHNAHNAH!!!! And fired a missile(Heatseeking) at the plane and then remembered it was on a tow rope thjen he wasa fucked with the white plane. Problem solved?

  • So sad to hear bout the crash sorry bout it, I hope I can have a C-17 electric ducted fan brushless motor rc, have a safe flying everyone.

  • IT SEEMS TO ME AS IF THE GLIDER PILOT WAS THE ONE AT FAULT....LOOK AT THE CAMERA VIEW...HE OBVIOUSLY WENT UPWARD WHEN THE TOW PLANE WENT DOWN CREATING A SNAG IN THE LINE MAKING IT LOSE CONTROL....THE EXTREME ELEVATOR REACTION COULD BE FROM THE PILOT FRANTICALLY TRYING TO REGAIN CONTROL FROM THE SUDDEN HARD PULL OF THE GLIDER GOING THE OTHER DIRECTION...JUST SAYIN

  • i hope you are reading this beacause. i cried so sad last flight=(

  • Oh so the cockpit view wasnt the one who crashed?

  • Hey at least you can sell it for srap.

  • thats so sad...really i almost got a tear

  • 650 hours of work , 10,000$

white paint with racing stripe, 500$

    remote controlled electronics = 1500$

using batteries from china , Priceless

  • All that buildup, and then we don't even get to see the crash? Well, there's another 3 minutes I can't get back...

  • RIP to the pilot.

  • bahahhahahhha, i cant take it anymore. think shindlers list was less dramatic.

  • just a quick question as you are towing does the glider have to follow you or can it just sit there with do control movements as i am thinking of becoming a tug pilot but i would want to know how the gliders should do it aswell just incase i have to plan a route so they know where i will go?

  • @zip187 The glider needs to be controlled and flown by a second pilot.

  • @zip187 As an old towpilot with over 4000 hours of Super Cub time towing gliders and if someone had gotten that far out of position in a real glider, I'd have waved them off. And if they didn't release, they would have eaten the rope.

    Jim Foreman

  • @20284488 ..exactly!

  • u cudda fixed it using lots of glue/ tape etc etc then u wouldent have 2 worry about it nomore...u could of had fun with it not having 2 worry about perfections. [a bashing plane?]

  • it's still fly but not on earth

  • That'll buff out.

  • yes its sad! i know! but you made a great video, great music and explanation of what probably happened! it alomst brought a tear toi my eye! same with one of my models. "R/C Jet Crash GoPro RF probable cause." Hows the new model now?

  • @scottyfun12 It better than the previous one. You find a lot of videos showing my Piper PA-25 Pawnee on my channel.

  • Just be grateful that everyone walked away.

  • personaly i think the glider had alot to do with what caused the crash you tried to dive then climb very rapidly while the glider was still headed down you tried pulling it up the cord shows it all it was yanked tight and this resulted in the loss of lift for the plaNE

  • love the footage of the glider

  • i feel your pain so much. Just yesterday, my veteran cessena 182 with over 25 sucessful flights, for some reason, had a mechanical malfunction at Marine Park in Brooklyn, New York. It was the first time i used a different battery of the same miilliamps, just because i wanted some extra flightime. Unfortunately, the plane went into a deadspin over some trees. And that was the last time i saw it. Had a lot of fun with her, though.

  • BUMMER DUDE

  • R.I.P

  • last saying before system failure by the pilot. " I have a son who's going to be 2 today he cant wait to see". after that all communication was lost. the plane was found but no survivors

  • I don't think it was a complete loss. You could have taken the tail and then made the rest of the plane out of paper mache to go along with it, then hung it from your ceiling.

  • @budgerigarz Indeed I still have the remains of the fuselage and the wings and for a while I thought of building a new plane with it, but I did not do so. Buying a new plane was more fun.

  • Where do u buy those planes and wats the model name

  • what music did you use for this video?

  • @cqbhoun think it's from "Peer Gynt" by Grieg

  • @driftways170 appreciated! thanks

  • @cqbhoun think it's "Solveigs's song" from "Peer Gynt" by Grieg.

  • the crash was a tragic disaster. there were no survivors found.

  • everybody was killed instantly...

  • i applaud your valiant fail. was the plane expensive?

  • I remember when I got an RC Plane for Christmas when I was like 6. I took it to fly outside one day for the first time. It flew for about half a second and smashed into the ground.

  • R.I.P

  • does it still work!?

  • why couldnt we see the crash from the cockpit, i mean when it actually crashed into the ground

  • wow i felt for your plane this video was welldone.

  • its was still a very beautiful plane though!!

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • The musical score was superb, I am sorry for your RC loss. It was a very detailed Airplane. As to the comments of taking the hobby seriously, the time it takes to build, and the money involved are reasons in my mind for the 'passion' of the hobby.

  • is the plane ok?

  • is tht a t-34 mentor

  • well thank god the passenger didnt die then the camrea man would of died, and no one would see what would happen ;)

  • wow camera looks like somthing from a movie!

  • T_T

  • Thats was a really god vid mate! :) I liked! :)

  • sorry to say.... but your plane got. FALCON SLAMMED!

  • =(

  • Neh - a bit of CA and epoxy here and there, and she'll be like new... :))

    Q:)

  • Ase's Death ftw

  • Looks like pilot error to me. You don't do a low buzz job when you are in tow. You need to stay in the climb, and above the glider until you cut him loose. He has no choice but to zoom when you are dragging him down and such speeds, then you get all that slack in the towline before you blast the throttle again, with predictable results. Started out really well, and the hotshotting brought you back to Earth. Nice video though.

  • Nice camera work... the music gave it a Scorsese feel.

  • And? Where´s the joke?

  • looks like the pilot stroked out and smashed his face into the controls.

  • Should of done a barrel roll.

  • what camera did you use

  • That sucks mate!

  • i love marijuana

  • From the view out of the glider cockpit, it appears the glider was always higher than the tow plane. This is my first time seeing an RC glider aerotow so am not sure if this is the normal way. Long ago, when I learnt full size glider flying with aerotow, I always had the glider below the tow plane, ie, I always had the towplane around my 45 degrees up when I look at it. Then I climb above the tow plane to signal a release, and drop the cable. Not sure if in RC it is done differently.

  • @shinco52 RC planes have a different tow clutch: It is placed near the CG instead of the tail because balancing an RC tug couple in the way you desribed is much harder than a real one. So it is the safest way to have the glider always above the tug with the rope not touching any tail parts and so influencing the tug's attitude.

  • @aviatorsbh I didn't notice that the tow cable was attached to the CG of the tow plane. I was thinking the cable was attached to the tail, thus, the glider was constantly pulling the tow plane tail up, and the tow plane pilot has to fight this all the time with the elevator. Thanks for pointing this out.

  • Well presented and very sad.

point 1. I guess some of us take it a little seriously depending on how much time went into building? For an off the shelf ready to fly, not much commitment outside of the wallet is there?

point 2, yeah I did like the camera in the cockpit view, someone should clean the windscreen though.

  • the only thing i can say is: HAHA :D

  • i think i shed a tear

  • In all seriousness i think if he had released the glider he would still have a plane ,just my opinion nothing more ,It's all ways sad when some one crashes ,And yes we do take it serious because we put a lot of time and money and TLC so yes !

  • I would buy a cheap but good rc plane and get Go Pro RC camera and crash it...:)

  • oh fucking may day may day, she's going down captain, cut the glider loose !!

lol .. plane can be rebuilt. get some balsa stock and cut out new parts.

  • bs

  • I DONT THINK IT WAS RC SYSTEM FAILURE...ID SAY THE PILOT PULLED UP TP QUICK, GLIDER TUGGED IT AND SEE YA LATER....ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS OIN THE VIDEO IT WASNT RADIO FAILURE.

  • it looks like the constant jerking on the cable caused a malfunction..the glider was outrunning the towplane

  • Oh the humanity....

  • bad flying imo. tug was all over the place, probably caused by the glider being all over the place, caused by a stupid circuit where height and speed varied way beyond the norm. bad flight practice. next time just tug to a fixed height in a controlled manner and youll be less likily to loose a plane.

  • i think i have to be sad

  • let me guess u bought this off ebay......

  • @kindal1212 Nope!

  • @aviatorsbh damn i feel odd liking this video. but this as well produced. i kow ht epain of a crash. it is part of the game. but at least youre not permanetly grounded though. ( as in not flying)

  • @kindal1212 No, your mama did.

  • @1958Antimatter ohhhhhhhhhhh ouch dang man that hurt i need a bandade to bad thats the oldest comeback in the book so yea nice try.....

  • It was the MG Browing of the Glider

  • What faggot hobby!
