Great suit from an even better series! I love the mass production charm of the rx-79 that you don't get with other pilot unique gundams. It's kinda halfway between one of those and a GM. I liked the way that they were on more or less even par with the zakus making for some great battles. Looking forward to more gundam reviews pal :)

@exillionXLR oh totally agree with you there, zakus could still pose a threat rather than in most series where its like "zaku's....pffff easy" and will just breath on them to destory them.

awesome review, When you mentioned blowing heads off I thought you were going to do more Destro abuse. Your models look soo good. I'm still working on my first MG Zaku II, a piece of the head where the eye part is suppose to attach broke...now I have to wait for the replacement factory to be fixed to get a replacement

@Megalotron oh im sure destro is gonna do somthin in the future. As for the modelim still kind of a beginner i think but time def helps at making them better and i broke a peice on a kit at one point and i was annoyed with myself but the part came and i know to be very carful with it now

Enjoyed this. Especially the intro. Might be worth while investing in a non Black fabric for those times when you're showing something jet black on screen. Even a dark grey might give enough contrast. Maybe a light grey.

Loved the combat montage near the end.

That does look like a pretty sweet kit. I will eventually get some kits for myself, but winter tends to be pretty shit for me to be buying stuff. Totally up for it though. Nice ending too, by the way, totally got that Gundam vibe from it. Proof positive that you don't need to do stop motion to put out a good bit of action with toys ;)

Very Cool, Andy! I have the original 144th scale kit of this suit design. The new kit is better than the old in some ways and not at all changed in others. I like this series concept. What else have you got and keep them coming!

No openings on the legs, no rack in the cargo bow on rails, Different shield attachment mechanism (post and port only, no supplemental support) but the similar weapons load out. Less arm articulation - 90 degrees only. I got it a few years ago off hlj on sale at the time. Still a good kit, just not as advanced in engineering as the new one. I am not complaining, though as the RX-79 [G] is one of my favorite suit designs.

@CobraCommanderTFW that's the one! it comes with two hover trucks, two gm ground type heads (lucky for me since i lost one of my gundam heads, long story) some rocket launchers, some people and some hands. i have long term plans to buy a third rx-79 an the old ez8 and kitbash the two together, completing my 08th team :)

Are the Decals all preset numbers like 04 and 08, or loose numbers of 0-9? I prefer to give my gundam my own number.

You could try some Kotobukiya Hobbybase hands they have articulated and fixed pose hands for 1/144 scale mecha kits, I also think B-Club makes a set of colored manipulators specifically for this kit.

@CobraCommanderTFW Ah good eye, both Gundam shows were made in 1995. :) That and the Wing soundtack is a little more easier to come by, so don't worry if you plan to re-use tracks from the Wing soundtrack in future reviews. Keep up the good work. :)

The figures look cool but my brain always grumbles. Why would a robot need a shield? why not integrate it on the body ... same goes with guns... cause then you don't need arms. But then you just get a flying tank in space.

@CobraCommanderTFW Yeah, for me the only con about HG Kshatriya it's the hands, wish they hold the beam saber better too. I really wished for a spread kind of hand, like giving order to the funnels. But, it's still one of my favorite HG's and one of the stars of my shelf :)
