LOL I saw this movie fore the first time yesterday I remember this movie when it was released but i was young and knew my parents wouldnt let me see it! this movie was wacky stupid AND hilarious all in one movie this was funny when RItter was in the video LOL why salt and pepa out of all the hot music acts that was out how did they pick them either way it was sooo funny that movie made my day RIP to john ritter sad for his lost he seemed like a cool guy :(
I'd prefer to call it a dark comedy. When you say "black comedy" I think of stuff like "The Fresh Prince of Bell Air" or "Barbershop" or "Next Friday."
Thank you so much for this! I haven't heard this since I watched the movie when I was a kid! I wish I could get a high quality mp3 of this but being able to listen to it in it's entirety is better than nothing at all.
I loved this movie and this song. Seeing John Ritter dressed like Prince, I think it was or he was dressed like SNP, I can't remember, but it was funny as hell.

nderrated black comedy Stay Tuned(1991) first off it's 1992 and the only black people in the film are the guy who played peirce and slat pepper and their dancers. black comedy my ass
Yeah, what MS1 said. The term was created in the 1930's to describe certain kinds of surreal, cynical, and skeptical comedy. Usually they're about death, people being manipulated, and mean people in high school. The most famous black comedy is Dr. Strangelove (1964). Another great example is Heathers (1989), where the girl who hates everyone in her school saves their lives by killing her high school crush- a guy who was planning on killing them. Then, most horror comedies are black comedies.
I agree. That beat and Bass is fuckin' ridiculous, and I'm feeling the singing parts, too. What's funny is that I, like many, will FOREVER associate this song with 'Stay Tuned...'
LOVE when Pepa comes in with that Jamaican style, lol

black comedy means that the comedy is of a dark nature

@moviesoundtracks1 Actually that would be what is referred to as a dark comedy. A black comedy would be something like Friday.
