At that point they hadn't documented the death toll of each camp, including labour camps. You're so fond of citing court cases in discrediting him; did it ever occur to you that science and history aren't proved in courts? They're decided in labs and academic forums. Courts are where people employ high-priced lawyers to win cases regardless of what's right or wrong.

Judge Ron Thomas decided that Leuchter was qualified as an expert in the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of gas chambers. Leuchter was allowed to give his opinions on the operation and suitability of the various facilities to function as execution gas chambers.

A subsequent article in the June 13,1991 edition of New York Times details his agreement with prosecutors to serve 2 years probation for practicing engineering without a license.

Leuchter's report is one of the most ridiculed pieces of pseudo-science ever written because his ignorance of the subject led him to conclusions which were the exact opposite of what a real scientist would have come to.
When the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Krakow carried out a similar investigation in 1994, they confirmed that the traces of cyanide in the ruins were consistent with homicidal gassing.

It found traces of hydrocyanic acid in the 6 structures it tested which were the remains of the 5 crematorium/gas chambers and an execution block. They found the highest concentration of poison gas in the samples taken from crematoria/gas chamber 2the same structure in which Leuchter claimed he couldn't find any.

Not overly surprising since America's gas chambers was/is all very old having been mostly constructed during the 1930’s. The window and door seals was prone to harden and are thus liable to leak without periodical maintenance, and that was pretty much what this "ekspert" was hired to do.The long gone Gas chambers operated at the Autwitch II did not resemble anything which existed after them - certainly not anything in use in the US prison system.

Nokikov, The Krakow institute for forensic research conducted a toxicological analysis on 4 complete plates and 2 damaged ventilation orifices taken from the ruins of the crematoria 2 gas chambers. The analysis established the presence of cyanide residue.

Nokikov, The reason the delousing chambers had far more cyanide residue in them is because zyklon B is much more effective on humans that it is on insects. The exposure period is much greater in delousing operations than in homicidal gassings. This means a much lower concentration is needed to kill humans. Therefore the zyklon B in the extermination chambers hardly had time to form compounds on the walls.

90%+ of engineers are unlicensed, and since there is no licensing course needed to get a license to engineer lethal execution apparatus, Leuchter is obviously not a licensed engineer. Big fat deal.
When you can write your own report proving that those rooms were used for gas chambers (with chemical samples as proof), along with a detailed description of how the bodies were disposed of with what little coal was available, I'll believe you.

do u refer to the plaque at auschwitz? It was known that the death toll was around 6 million before that went up. At that point they hadn't documented the death toll of each camp, including labour camps. Therefore it was only revised becaused it wasn't congruent with the death tolls of the other concentration camps, ghettoes and events of the holocaust
