  • I meant DOESN'T feel right. Also listen to his definition of rich. I'm sorry. But if you can't figure out what "rich" means then you've lost me. Another out of touch politician.

  • what is rich? define it with finite terms, Please.

  • There is something about this guy that feel right. Not sure I can put my finger on it. Might be his shirt/tie combo's. They make me go cross-eyed.

  • Bob Barr is a neocon plant! Don't fall into it. He showed his true colors when he asked Ron Paul to be his VP and then got turned down. Then he decided to not come to the third party conference that Paul held. Cry baby!!! The only thing that we can do to promote real change, short of guns blazing on Washington, is to support everything that Paul is focused on.

  • vote nader 08 agianst the patriot act fuck barr

  • McCain Democrat, are you that stupid?

  • McCain wasn't even born in America. He may use the military to enforce Domestic policies, but hey, at least we can still proclaim "This is America!" Evil or evil, at least one isn't a black muslim right. McCain's as much a liberal as Obama.

  • Vote Barr/Root 2008!

  • 10% in Nevada, 8% in Ohio. He is McCains worst nightmare.

  • Im in PA and hes got my vote. Mccain is a globalist Moderate Liberal phony, hes not a true Conservative.

Bob Barr is a well spoken intelligent concise speaker that treats us as Adults, Obama and Mccain speak to us as if we are children, its pathetic.

Bob Barr is a superior candidate to Mccain

  • Planning on dropping a few more signs here in OH.

  • WHy did Barr try to get the courts to get the church to include him? Doesnt he believe the church should have the freedom to choose who it has in its halls?

  • Because it was not a private debate. The Church was CHOSEN as a host. It was not a religious invite.

  • wut are you talking about? The church isn't owned by the government and the debate wasn't funded or organized by the government. So that means it was a private debate, not a public debate. THe pastor knew both candiates personally, so he decided to use his venue to showcase both candidates. If im wrong, tell me who organized the debate then? Who paid for it? As a private instiution, it had every right to choose to gets to go inside his church. I though Barr believed in freedom.

  • Dude, you are right, the church isn't owned by the government. The Church BUILDING was simply a location for the debate. If it was as you imply organized by a private institution, then why on earth would the issue have gotten all the way to U.S. District Court Judge David Carter who denied Barr from being included in the event. In the judge's own words:

  • "Plaintiffs will lose out on a fair amount of exposure and the opportunity to express their views in a popular forum. On the other hand, halting this event would deny the other candidates the opportunity to be heard and would deprive the public of an opportunity to see the candidates and hear their views.

  • "Forcing Saddleback to include another candidate at the last moment could cause serious logistical problems and take away from the presentations of other candidate. This might well disrupt the planned presentation."

If it was a private event, these comments would have never been made because 1) the lawsuit would not have made it this far and 2) the judge would have said instead something in the lines of "The Church can do whatever it wants." end of story.

  • So, what exactly are you saying, that the church debate was a public venue? If Bob Barr believed in freedom, then he should believe that Courts shouldnt have the power to force churches in include candidates. You quotes provide no evidence to suggest that a Church should be forced in to include candidates it doesnt want to. Tell me why u believe churhcs should be forced to show candidates like bob barr? Are you against freedom?

  • Jim, My apologies. I did some research and I was somewhat wrong. The real answer is:

Campaign finance laws declare that in order for a private corporation (in which a Church is considered) to host a presidential debate, there must be objective, pre-established rules for inviting candidates. Because this was not the case with the Saddleback Forum, it is considered an illegal, in-kind donation to the Obama and McCain campaigns.

There you have it. Whether you agree or not, it's the law.

  • Jimraynor45: I agree that a church should be able to do whatever they want. The fact is though that parties don't want to include a third party, not particular venues. Both Democrats and Republicans recognize it is mutually beneficial to exclude people like Barr and all third parties, and they literally set the rules. If the two major parties don't want anyone else to crash the party, they simply decide not to allow it, and frankly thats gay.

  • Perhaps, but he doesn't lie about it. He's made mistakes, admits his faults, and moves on hopefully in the right direction.

  • Barr or Baldwin 2008!

  • google campaign for liberty

  • I said this once and will say it again. Robin Hood stole from the government and gave to the people. Obama will steal from the people and give to the government. Robin Hood was a good man restoring to the people their rightful property. Obama is just like any State Socialist, a thief in a suit.

  • It is absurd to allow the government unlimited listening privileges. If this is the way of things, we have to recognize that this isn't the same government, isn't the same country. Might I suggest a new black flag with a skull and cross bones on it.

  • i didnt know he voted for the patriot act. i geuss i have no one to vote for now

  • Have you looked into Chuck Baldwin? He seems pretty viable...

  • objectively his religion seems to have too much influence on his political views

  • That is a concern. I'll have to look a little deeper!

  • He deeply regrets that decision and has apologised for it.

  • It never ceases to anger me that the alleged "diversified " Media never gives press or publicity to people that have the temerity to get on the state ballots of enough states to theoretically win the Presidency...Why aren't they in those debates? And don't tell me because they can't get the 15% or whatever to be "viable"...How can you be "viable" when the Media ignores you?

  • BobBarr '08!

  • O MY LORD! Every time he is on CNN they say he is polling at 3%. WTF that is such bs. They know its at least 6 they keep saying 3 for the last 3 months!

  • How pathetic that people can't spot satire when they see it, and give me like 10 negative ratings. I thought I did a good job at illustrating the absurdity of shutting down the democratic process here at home, while simultaneously supposedly bringing democracy to the rest of the world.

  • Bob Barr makes McCain and Obama look like douche bags.

We need a real person to run America not a puppet.

  • McCain and Obama make them selves look like douche bags.

  • Amen! Great observation

  • YEEEEEEEEAH GO BOB BARR!!!

  • I am voting for Bob Barr.

  • .

    Mr. Barr,

I'm rather concerned how the Religious Right is gaming the show, "America's Next Top Ayatollah."

Since when is it acceptable for religion informs the politics of the Nation?

I THOUGHT RELIGIOUS TESTS WERE ILLEGAL!

And isn't entertaining the notion that this religious forum as being pertinent, tacit approval that indeed, religion rules politics?

Why won't someone stand up and insist to NOT take this test?

    .

  • That bit about Robin Hood was straight out of Atlas Shrugged... good to see that in Bob's message.

  • ron paul is an idea

  • and ideas are bullet prove ;o)

  • CNN used a poll from three weeks ago. You'd think they'd have a more recent one.

  • BOB BARR 2008!

  • I've never voted third party in a major election, but that's changing this year. Bob Barr's economic policy is rock solid, and he's got my vote! Spread the word anyway you can!

  • Support your country, not your party!

    Bob Barr 2008!

  • Break up the Republicrat monopoly, support Barr!

  • Regardless of your political views, breaking the two-party monopoly on our governament is your patriotic duty as an American.

Besides, Bob Barr is a much more serious conservative candidate than McCain.

  • Yes. If anybody uses the argument that Bob Barr "just can't win," remind them that it doesn't look like John McCain can win.

  • or you can remind them that the Republican Party will never even consider returning to it's traditional platform of conservatism as long as people continue to support their liberal neo-Con candidates and policies! we need liberal McCain to not only lose, but to lose by an embarrassing landslide! only then will the Republican Party rethink their platform. McCain and Obama are both liberals so supporting the Republican just to make the Democrat lose helps absolutely nothing!

  • Barr's got my vote!

  • But will diebold record it.. it's not who votes but who counts the votes.. (Joseph Stalin)

  • Barr is the only candidate who makes sense for this country right now. We cannot financially support Nobama's huge government nor McSame's never ending wars. We need somebody willing to make the cuts necessary to bring our government down to a supportable size, not to mention restoring our civil liberties which are rapidly vanishing. I want my children to be free to pursue the American dream without worrying about them being drafted to fight someone else's war.

  • Yes, this November, I'm not giving any credence to this failed two-party system when I vote for President. Neither Barack Obama Bin Laden nor John McCoccain are fit enough to be President. Only Bob Barr is.

  • every time he's asked to talk about obama, he almost does it. he was close this time. i just can't wait for the day when he comes right out and calls him a socialist.

  • As a Ron Paul supporter, I'm voting for Bob Barr. There is nobody else to support. Nobody.

  • baldwin was most active in ron pauls campaign

  • But Barr is more similar to Baldwin. Baldwin is really a theocrat. The Constitution party holds the bible as their key component for their decision. Ultra neocon Alan Keyes almost won the nomination. They are 100% against gay rights where Paul and Barr are more neutral. Analyze the issues and you will realize Barr is the true man after Paul. Continue the revolution by supporting Bob Barr, a man who, if he gets the numbers, will get attention to our cause of liberty. Not Baldwin if he gets 1%,

  • the revolution will continue; presidential seat or not; most likely not judging by the number of Oblahma zombies that are out there.

Barr does not have Ron Pauls squeaky clean history.

Ron Paul is to win the nomination ;]

  • I hope like hell you're right! If Paul can 'pull it off', I will be pleasantly shocked and may have to give him my vote!

  • Correct. Barrs support will come around. The millions who tuned out after Paul did not do so well on Feb 5th are still out there looking for someone like Barr. The people who are not active online.

  • barr makes mccain look like a kid on a powertrip. you tell 'em barr! the only candidate worth voting for in this race

  • Is it really possible for Ron Paul to win the nomination? The numbers just do not seem to be in his favor.

  • "In May of 1860, the votes of 233 delegates were required to win the Republican nomination. Abraham Lincoln arrived at that convention starting only with the support of the 22 delegates from Illinois. He went on to win the nomination."

This is why a brokered convention is so important! Abraham Lincoln won with less than 10% of the delegates to start off.

  • Wow. I did not know that.

I would like to say that I am a Ron Paul supporter first. I only became interested in Barr and the Libertarian Party after Paul officially dropped his bid for the Presidency.

  • Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. Bob Barr acquired a lot of support from the Ron Paul movement. I'm just glad we still have somebody to support if Ron Paul can't pull off a miracle at the Republican National Convention.

Make sure you also support Ron Paul type of candidates running on your state level of government! According to BreakTheMatrix's "Top 25 Freedom Candidates" list, we have two running for Congress in my home state of NY. One of them actually received a Ron Paul endorsement.

  • for all those who marked my comment as spam; your efforts are for naught.

the aforementioned data is valid and our message is still spreading.

the cause goes beyond the race; were going to clean out the dirt in congress though campain for liberty.

its ok to not know but to stay ignorant...?

continue to graze my wooly brothers.

  • Great video. Bob was very "presidental".

  • Barr still hasn't said anything that could make me overlook his voting record but he's getting better.

Naders pulling 6%... Don't blame Nader Blame Obama for voting for FISA thats why he lost my vote.

  • Jimbo...

    D I T O !

I was for Obama before he was against my ability to redress our Government for grievances of Fourth Amendment Rights.

And to think, he voted FOR immunity knowing that he too, might be that Decider immune from authorizing the violation of my Fourth Amendment.

What does a Dictatorship look like?

The ONLY immediate solution is IMPEACHMENT of the President that signed a ex post facto law and one that should be ruled unconstitutional by the SCOTUS.

    .

  • RAD!

  • when oh when will bob barr get some real exposure? this is great and all but no one watches this stuff. he needs to get into the debates that people watch, shake things up, and make a fool of obama's tax plans and mccain's war plans! and how the hell is nader ahead in those polls? both of them should be included, but barr is the better of all 4.

glad he's been on TV the past 2 days though.

  • Ralph Nader is holding 2 super raliies, one in Denver and 1 in Minneapolis to protest the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, protest corporate control of politics , and primarily to protest for inclusion of third parties in the debates.

Join us as allies during the RNC protest rally 2 days after the Ron Paul convention I belive, as allies to demand inclusion of Nader, Barr, McKinney and anyone else running.

It's more powerful to show a united 3rd party coalition to demand inclusion in debates.

  • that sounds really stupid

  • I'm guessing and hoping that you're being sarcastic.

  • Of course. How pathetic that people can't spot satire when they see it.

  • liberty,

Antithetical to what America was established to be, independent unto it's own means, you're suggesting that America be the dictator of who should become democratic?

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU PROPOSE SHOULD DIE FOR THAT VISION?

HOW DOES YOUR VISION PARSE WITH THAT OF THE FOUNDERS?

AND WHEN YOUR VISION DIFFERS FROM THAT OF WHAT AMERICA WAS ESTABLISHED FOR, THEN WHAT IS IT THAT YOU ULTIMATELY STAND FOR?

Was that a vile of democracy Powell held up at the U.N.?

    .

  • "a good president"

    ...I think that's an oxymoron.

  • Robin Hood stole from the government and gave to the people. Obama is going to steal from the people and give to the government while McCain promises WAR!!! Barr needs to get into those debates.

  • Slayer I like that quote. I think I will steal it.

  • The corporate Republican & Deomcrat party are the same. McCain & Obama support:

1 military expansion when US is in debt

2 increase war in Afghanistan where more civilians have died than 9/11

3 continued occupation in Iraq including private contractors

4 expanding war on terror to Pakistan (Obama) or Iran (McCain)

Nader, McKinney, Barr & Baldwin should be in debates to hold both parties accountable like Kucinich, Gravel & Ron Paul did.

  • Awesome point.

  • Good ole Barr.
