@Jugoslavija Croatian flag is 90% same since 1848 when it was invented. As the regimes went by it always contained two basic thing: 1. the red-white-blue lines and 2. the red-white "checkerboard" coat of arms (used since early middle-ages).

The nazis occuppied and made alot of countries their protectorates. The French nazi flag and lots of other flags (Serbia as well) all had the same flags as they do today with some small stylized differences.

The partisans were betrayed by the British and Tito (a Croat) was elevated to power. He was a communist who seeded the war of the 1990's by opening the borders of Yugoslavia and allowing the Albanians into the south. They caused the war in Kosovo and we supported the subsequent desecration of more than 300 churches and the 'farming' of Serbian body organs.
