i'm no marine biologist, but i find it irresponsible how these filmmakers completely turn a blind eye to dwindling populations/dying coral reefs/etc by giving the impression of all this abundant life.

@es326 At the end of this trailer it says, "See the Ocean. Save the Ocean...See opening week and Disney will make a donation...to save our coral reefs", so I'm not sure they're turning a blind eye. Besides, it's difficult to know from a trailer what will be in the film. I do hope they include the side of things you're speaking of, but if the movie fosters a deeper appreciation and enriches our understanding of the natural world, especially in children, I'd give the movie high marks.
