It still runs better graphics than every current gen console available, without question. @Xtclilium you cant do that, because there are 2 GPUs on that card, and Crossfire X and SLI both only support 4 way GPU scaling, so therefore you can only put 2 cards together, however that is still 4 full fledged 5870 GPUs

The Ares 5870 x2 is pretty much what the HD6990 is. The 6990 is a 4Gb as well, but it has higher clocks for core and memory, and uses one less power connector (no 6-pin). The best part is that you aren't going to pay over $1000 for the HD6990! Gotta love the advances in technology! XD

@GRUNTS2009 They are pretty much the same and down to preference, I personally prefer Nividia's but i mainly buy tuned versions (a company who do this are EVGA or ZOTAC) of their cards so they can sometimes out-perform ATI (yes thats right ATI) card's. Hope you find this helpful

Personaly i will not buy GTX580 or 5870 or Ares for normal gaming cause they are enthusiast cards for extreme graphics and gaming :D

800W should overall be enough for a single card. (Depending on what else you have in your computer)

And most of those Benchmarks you see at photos, are fake. I've seen live Benchmarks and the GTX 580 sucks! At heavy games like Crysis it has about the same fps with a 6870 which costs the half, it has better temperatures and it needs less power!!!
