I think Tetsuo is one of the few bassplayers that have great technique and also good sense in melodies. Jaco also wasn't afraid to play interesting melodies. Not to forget Jeff Berlin.
@peelopuu I think Tetsuo have his own ideas, he's from japan, management of rock, jazz and funk on his basslines...Jaco are more spontaneous... Berlin its another one... eveeryone have her own resources... but Tetsuo is my favorite one... I grew up listening to her & CASIOPEA....

@trumpetjazz007 Allright I'm feeling you but you should work your English. When you said you grew up listening "her" you were saying he's a girl...but anyway I also think it would have been awesome to listen him when I were like 10 or something that age.
@peelopuu damn!! hahaha mi english sucks!! man when I was 1 year old, my dad buy that concert on VHS format... I already have that tape... and still works... :D
2:25, The Guitarist Issei Noro and Keyboardist Minoru Mukaiya start Dancing Onstage. LOL, You barely see them do stuff like that anymore. I love 1980s Casiopea. At 3:46, He starts playing "Misty Lady". And the rest of the Group follows suit at 3:53.

Tetsuo Sakurai is really awesome!
But this bass he is playing on is absolutley gross in its look.

@jrockarps It's a Yamaha Tetsuo Sakurai signature model. Don't make them anymore of course. He now plays Fodera basses.
