You can only go to Namm if you´re in the music industry or you got connections. The passes are reserved to people who actually have business to do at NAMM. Some people can get passes so they can go and experience NAMM as an excibition because they "know somebody" If you have no business to do at NAMM, please don´t go, because you´re unwated, trust me.

iv been to namm twice 08 and 09 , i had no business there and i didnt notice this unwanted feeling you speak of,? infact i found namm to be very welcoming, however when i was there i pre ordered alot of stuff

you cant buy a ticket, you have to be in the industry and a member of NAMM which I think is $150 a year...membership is for retailers, builders, etc...
