  • what do you think about the

Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 Titan RC helicopter with AS355N Ecureuil Shell?

  • @Haliparotzkie Looks nice, but don't own any TT Raptors.

  • team222badbrad, I am an FAA licensed helicopter pilot and airplane pilot. I am wondering how you are able to fly right next to a runway/taxi way at an active airport? How do you get authorization to do that? That is fine if the airport approves & pilots are aware of your flying there. I have seen a video on here where a guy's $5,000 aerbatic plane gets hit by a full scale airplane. The dangers of flying in vicinity of full scale is obvious. I fly with nav. anti col. and landing light to be sure.

  • @OneHoof "That is fine if the airport approves & pilots are aware of your flying there." Exactly.

I have permission from the airport owners to do so. Several people along with myself have this permission.

Obviously you have to be aware of your surrounds to do so. Sometimes you can be there and no planes take off and some days you can have three or so planes takeoff or land during a 10 minute RC flight.

  • ooooh, what engine do u have in dat?

  • never checked your flight bar and props

  • I need help, my helicopter keeps turning left. not spinning but it keeps going in circles plz help

  • aint u scared of flying this mine was an eletrick one and smaler and i was scared of that no offence ur MADD lol they r amazing things tho

1 hour ago This hobby is too much fun to let a few miserable losers try and spoil it for the rest of us. My only bad experience has been with an ebay company Technicala, also known as RC-World-International.. The prices are more expensive than other stores and there is NO WARRANTY and NO RETURNS! They sometimes ship broken parts or something other than you ordered and then you are stuck with it. The nastiness of their “customer service” is unprecedented

  • @50N1C800M Are you replying to someone or just writing about your bad experience?

Stick with the major brands and shops. If you need to know of some good online shops let me know.

  • @team222badbrad yeah i could use some trusted advice.....ive been leaving this comment on many other rc videos as a warning to others so they dont have to go through what i went through! i apologize if this comment has caused you any inconvieniance.....

  • @50N1C800M No problem. Just wasn't sure what you were getting at with your comment.

Here are some good shops that sell good brands. Just add (dot) com to the end. heliproz, readyheli, helihobby, ronlund

  • @50N1C800M we as readers and viewers of rc videos appreciate your concern for those bad ass sellers of ebay that lure you with cheap/expensive toys and all, reviews for the seller is also necessary so u will be sure of your item.... more power to those who care and share ....

  • @team222badbrad

I've ordered from HobbyKing before... Is there a better site than them? If so. I want that link! =P

  • @Pyromaniac2212 Depends on what you are looking for and if you want quality over cost. hobbypartz is in the USA and have some "cheap" products and fast delivery. My personal favorites are towerhobbies, hobbyking (slow delivery and not so good customer support), wholesaletrains, heliproz, rcslot. One place I don't recommend is amainhobbies. They have lied to me in the past and they gain back any money you THINK you saved in shipping charges.

  • Electric helis:

    - does not vandalize the neighbourhood with hidious noice

    - simpler starting procedure

    - electricity is cheaper than gas or nitro

    - no pollution, no mess from exhaust

    - lower price

  • you should use a cap system on your gallon of fuel. Good vid

  • I enjoyed watching the vid, however it would of helped to people who needed to know how to start it to perhaps a bit of voice explaining or captions or something :)

  • more info is in the description...

  • @team222badbrad I'm with jthornley12; as it is the description is more informative than the video, which largely consists of waiting for something to happen.

  • Man you must use a sparking plug extension cable... but that's a nice vid mate!

  • if u are obsesed with wrestling ur a fukin imature gimp SORT IT OWT

  • hi r these glow engine?

  • yes runs on nitromethane.

  • Seems you are obsessed over Wrestling and video games...

  • Hahahahaa

Now who doesnt have a life hey???

Nice vid, what is the heli? A t-rex 500?

  • Kyosho Caliber 50

  • lol

  • This may sound stupid but does anyone know how firmly attach a hex shaft to a starter? I have a starter and shaft but they won't connect.

  • Depends on the starter wand and starter motor brand.

You may have to purchase or use a different size insert.

  • They're both by Mavrikk. I assumed that all I had to do was press the back of the shaft into the insert and it would hold, I was wrong. If I drive a bolt through the insert, the shaft base hole, and out the other side would it stay put?

  • That is all you have to do, but apparently the insert is a different size. You can purchase different inserts.

IMO Mavrikk stuff isn't that great from my experience with their products.

  • that is sooo s tupid just dude how doesnt know how to connect a thing to astarter shaft duuuhhhh

  • i can see close range but without my enlarging divice that was alittle too far to see details plus it was dark when i saw it

  • first of all where do go to get my hands on one of these second what kind of feul is that(visually impaired and can't read the branding)

  • no offense, but if you are visually impaired then you probably shouldn't be looking for one...

  • AAAAh, how nice is it to fly with electric energy...

  • I fly both nitro and electric. Both are nice...

  • the tail rotor blades are as big as the blades on a 4 channel helri

  • HAHA

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know how to "pea"

  • First you have to eat some pea's... LOL

  • well, im not som fatso from america eating at mcdonalds every day!!

  • Dude this last comment has nothing to do with your first comment.

Not everyone in America is fat. I'm sure I could go to Norway and find a fat chick for you.

  • There are allot of fat chicks in Norway.

  • lol. fat norwegeans. ya not everyone in America is fat. and this guy isn't even fat.

  • Ever stop to think many heli pilots started on electrics and want to move up to nitro for the first time???????

  • you reckon i can scare away gray wolves with this thing?

  • Cry me a river...

  • hey i have a elite CX and ive tried everything it wont fly itll move around on the ground but wont pick up at all..some one please help!!!!

  • How much did that Elite CX cost you and where from thnx.

  • It's E-flite blade CX. The internet search works wonders....

  • sorry its called and e-flite blade cx and i figure out the shaft gear was worn down

  • what shoud i do if i gest got it wen i start it will it chop my hand off

  • Wen dat hapen I gest go to ER n hav em so bak on

  • Omg, that comment was genius.

  • hey guys u know double horse 9083 there really good and ther hard to control but i buyed mine for really cheap about £25 and the real price is £80 someone s8 if ya wanna buy 1 and ur in uk go to one stop in birmingham perry barr

  • That helicopter doesn't even compare to the one in this video...

  • hi there can anyone show me how to use a contoller when strating up a helicopter.

my century hawk just crazily shot up , theres this switch at the back . any help thanks

planning to get this heli soon

  • man i bought one for over 500 and crash it the same day but i'm not going to lie to you i didn't know how to fly

  • nice

  • a half decent sim or a VERY resilient electric can teach you a lot of lessons that can cost you a lot very quickly

  • how much dose it cost i dont have any gas ones?

  • omg.. try to think about what could happen if throttle trim was set wrong LOL!

  • Maybe a silly question but: What I've always wondered is "how do you stop the engine?"

  • Coke the engine ofcourse.

If she can't breathe or sip then she ain't gonna run

The carb is different from a regular car nitro motor.

  • what heli is that?

  • Kyosho caliber 5

  • thanks i wasnt sure

  • what heliis that

  • nice heli. i prefer the electric version/

  • how much space does a rc need????

  • You can never have enough space!

  • like theres not alot of space around where i live but theres a 36 metre squre space we might beable to use.

  • then use it XD, i fly in some crappy tiny park, n becoz its so small ive nearly crashed it twice now XD but luckily i havent (yet)

  • its a raptor 50

but i have a 3d FRP canopy on it.

(no risk of it coming off whilst doing 3d)

the standars rappy canopy has a clip which ges on the skids and 2 rubber grommets which pop onto retaining posts.

  • fair enough.... seems like a hassle to me tho.

however my canopy has 4 screws that hold it on so it would be more of a pain for me to take it off , usually i do all mechanical checks before i get to the field. then just do the regular range check etc before flying

  • What kind of heli do you have that has 4 screws?

My Hirobo has 2 body clips to hold it on. The canopy rests on four pins as well 2 of which have the clips to keep it from coming off.

  • the dude should get a remote glow plug so he doesn't have to take the canopy off to start her up

  • This guy flys daily. He doesn't want one. Besides it's a good idea to take the clothes off and do a preflight check.

  • Can u tell me where u got this?

  • how many mAh is a 1.5 voly glow starter or where can i get a 1.5 voly glow starter

  • How much was it?

  • this isn't my heli, but a friends. I have a video on my channel that shows you the cost.

  • damn. thats a big boy heli. looks fun :)

  • nah it's only a 50 size. 90's are even bigger!

  • BOTH!

  • what is cooler rc car or rc helicopter?

  • helicopter duh! helis can fly!

  • ya i have that agreement too!

  • Helis they are more insane.

  • lol ppl can have real cars but they cant have helicopters or planes usually so get a r.c heli or r.c plane lol planes are expensive tho

  • planes are cheaper than helis by loads u can pick up a nitro plane for £100 new and a heli new ur talkin £600-£700!!!

  • not really, depends on what you buy.

    :-)

  • is that 10 percent nitro or 15

  • 30%

  • lol

  • i hate that you have to put it together id rather buy something out of the box, if i want to build something ill build a computer

  • what are you gonna do when you crash and need to do lots of repairs?

When you buy helis ARF or RTR (usally smaller electric helis) you really can't trust them and they need to be inspected "out of the box".

These things are dangerous and I'd much rather build it myself knowing I did it right and the screws are tight.

  • Where can you buy these online? Or do they need to be built?

  • You simply can't buy a nitro ready to run helicopter unless of course someone sells a used one already built. Google readyheli, helihobby, heliproz.

  • I just wanted to make sure. I have accidentally stepped on peoples' toes before. I mean no offense, but sometimes it comes over that way. Anyway, try the one with the kevlar braid and heat shielding if you want. Couldn't tell you where to look as mine was given to me. I hate that you had difficulties with Heliproz products.

    Best wishes.

  • Mavvrik parts are great for a little while. I have found that when something small happens to a Mavvrik part it turns catastrophic. That could be why the lead broke before. Haven't dealt with Revolution before. Are any of their other products any good?

  • I believe mine is from Hobbico and it has a kevlar braid around it. I,ve never had a minute's trouble with it. Hangar 9 I believe also has a remote start lead. I have used both on my Raptor and they work fine. Check Heliproz. They have everything. I hope you didn't take any offense to my suggestion. Just trying to help. Happy flying!

  • I'm not sure why you think I took offense to your post?

I did purchase both of mine from Heliproz. After spending $17 for them and doing repairs on them I just gave up. The solder melted, the thin mount broke off, etc.

I like to check my wiring before I fly anyways.

  • If you got a remote start lead. You wouldn't have to take the canopy off. I love them because they are cheap and save tons of time.

Kezamizogabi, That blue thing is a glow driver. It supplies an electric current to the glow plug which heats the cylinder. Since glow engines don't have spark plugs, they run like diesel engines and you have to heat the cylinder in order for the fuel to break down and combust. After the engine starts, the burning fuel heats the cylinder so the driver is not needed.

  • Yes you can, but the are more head ache than they are worth. I've already purchased two for my Hirobo, both different brands and types. Both of them failed after a few weeks use. They fell apart. I eventually ended up using both of them to make one and even that one fell apart.

Perhaps you know a good brand for one? I purchased a Mavvrick and Revolution Brand.

  • what was that blue thing at around 1;50?

  • What a PIA! You need a SwitchGlo! ;)

  • liked the way you powered up as you walked away from helo good advice not to a learner.

  • sounds a little too rich but that's just me

  • how much power is in ure glow start is it 1.2 volts

  • Mmmh forgot a couple of things? - No radio check performed - No radio range check performed - unless they were carried out before the video??? Otherwise it was worth the wait..!

  • It was already flown previously before the video.

I always check the controls before flying, but never do a range check.

  • you dont need to a range check every time

  • this is why i fly electric helis

  • electic helicopters hum... I don't have a nitro heli but i have an electirc helicopter. And in my opinion, electci sucks soo much cause like i charge the batteries and after a week or so, it looses its charge. I bougt a nitro rc car, and the "fuel" is way more efficent than electric. You don't have to charge thie stuff.

  • You still have to charge..... and charge more stuff.

Transmitter battery, receiver battery, glow igniter battery, starter battery....

  • Well you have obv never flown a Trex 450 or a trex 600 , the charge times are just part of it, and on the plus side, alot of electric helis will out perform gasser's

  • nice vid tells me everything cheers

  • nice video, although it would be nice if you explained step by step what you are doing ;)

check out some of my videos of heli flights thanks

  • Thanx, i didn't know how to start a rc gasoline copter

  • 2 things 1.your camera dude is weard 2.does it the rc have auto rotation

  • yes it can auto rotate

what is so weird about the camera dude?

  • That was a total waste of my time wathing this video!!!

  • Glad to hear that!

I'm so glad you wasted your time to type that comment and my time to reply back.

  • well said, THIS IS A GREAT HELOCOPTER, I GOT ONE FOR CHRISTMAS AND ITS GREAT, IM TAKING IT TO THE SEA TOMORROW TO FLY IT, GOD BLESS

  • I hope you know what your doing?

Ever flown a "real" rc chopper b4?

  • I wanna see it fly.

  • youtube (dot) com / helicuzz

or click on his comment below

or check out my channel for his inverted hovering video

  • Nice bradness :)

  • Hi

I have a Raptor Titan 50 with os engine. I already lost one os engine - overheated. My new engine looks/feel fine but I am worried that it runs to lean. When it hovers, my rpm is very high. Any recommendations on how to know if my rpm is correct at hovering level pitch?

    Thanks

  • I've lit nitro on fire, burns white. Is that .30 or .50?

  • Me too, but I bet you have not lit any on fire on your hand?

It's my buddies Kyosho Caliber 50

  • Does it burn/hurt?

  • thanks guys got it going

  • what was that red thing you used to get it going at the end?

I have a nitro helicopter but i cant start it :(

i get the glow plug in and thats it.

it has some starter cup on the back that requires a power torue nut it dont turn the cup thats just locked solid

  • you need a starter motor and a hex adapter. You also need a glow igniter. Hope this helps

  • It is nitro fuel as we call it. 30% alcohol content goes for about $25 a gallon. I use coolpower fuel.

The bigger the better! If you dont have the cash to spend get a small electric such as an AXE CP by helimax.

I started with a nitro flew it a few times, then bought a simulator.

  • what type of gas was that? gas at a gas station?

do you recomend a gas chopper like that for a begginer

  • That sucked. Waste of time.

  • I will now give you my two cents because my video wasted your time: "TOO BAD!"

  • I think I was looking at another video and somehow commented on this one. Sorry. Nice Heli BTW...

  • Lawnmover :PP

  • thanks!

Hope you learned something from them!

  • hey, nice vids.

  • Do you start yours differently?

  • ok then?
