Hey guys, theres a big buzz around Santa Monica in california about ufo sightings around the beach just after sunset, i think that they are skydivers using the magnesium flares on theiir feet, if you do a seach for 'silver surfer ufo' can you check out the videos and give us your opinion, that would be fantastic, also can people sky dive like that where ever they want to, surely its gonna cause a stir like it has right now with the effect that the magnesium flare creates. Thanks Andrew
unless you are cmpletely hooked on the stuff and have no clue that it dehydrates you and you drink about 20 of it a day....it will not kill you !! but considering most skydovers have a high alcohol comsumtion I would recommend using it only in the morning to get you awake enough to go do some jumps !! but then again I'm not your mom so do whatever you feel like !!just talking about the red bull here !!
Cool....wish I was there with them...for the doubters...that is exactly why youuse an audible and have an AAD...fuck off !! it's perfectly safe if you follow guidelines and don't fuck up while jumping....guess taking a bus is a challenge for you too !!
haha you know your a skydiver when your write out your uspa number on your youtube comments. awesome a50745, but i dont think the FDA can ban redbull, i mean look at cigerettes and alchol kill people but you cant make ppl stop selling them. as far as if those statments r true i have no idea but it wouldnt surprise me, redbulls very good tho, expecially at the DZ while jumping all day. whuffos, shutup and jump.
Their reserve parachute would automatically open at 850' if they have a functional Automatic Activation Device (AAD) which most skydivers 'should' have on their rig. This is only necessary if the skydiver is physically incapable of deploying his main parachute, or takes no action for whatever reason.
Otherwise, this would not be necessary as we must where glow in the dark altimeters for night jumps, and are helmets contain a audible dytter (I wear 2) that let us know when we should deploy our main parachute.
I had my first night jump last saturday night (20th). It IS incredible especially if you live within the proximity of a major city. I cannot find the words to describe the experience, and have yet to find a video that does a night jump justice (most non-expensive cameras have poor night vision it seems)
Yeah, be careful up there man! The craziest thing I ever did was climb the water tower in college and repel down in the middle of the night. I went first, and we couldn't tell if the rope had actually hit the ground or not!!! lol...
Heh..that sounds more dangerous than what we do. What I would recommend (to anyone of interest) is visiting a dropzone, see how jump operations are conducted, talk to all of the instructors, the safety and training advisor, ask all the questions in the world..and then make up your mind on the sport. It aint for everyone..just like I couldn't see myself ever riding a motorcycle *shrug* Do what makes ya happy :)
Redbull includes a lot of caffeine, which is a brain stimulant. Instead of real energy it only gives an illusion of it. Anyway, definitely not a sport drink, bad for health - horrible? Yes.
Redbull is horrible for you. Predisposes you to vascular disease, heart disease, diabetes, and generally causes inflammation from the stuff that's in it. Look it up if you think I'm pulling this out of my ass. It's TERRIBLE for you. Not denying it gives you ENERGY, but at what cost!?
Should this be true, and if the FDA was aware of this, why would the product not be banned already?
From my experience, red bull mainly predisposes you to dehydration if you aren't consuming as much water. There is no conclusive evidence from what I could find that specifically links the product in question with the above mentioned health condtions..most of which originate from genetics/ family history.
SICK!!

So the entire thing about Lake Elsinore's "aliens" is probably skydivers just like this. There IS a skydiving place right next to the lake out there.

Didn't the magnesium ruin their vision? After seeing something so bright and then having to land the parachute at night, how the hell did they do it?
