is this song originally composed by disney or is it a doggy version of some other popular song... it uses the barbershop chord alot so im wondering if this is a barbershop song gone to the dogs... not only that but its slides are very stylistic of barbershop...
omg!!! breaks my heart!! i once went to a dog pound to get back a lost dog, and I saw all these dogs just being so happy to see someone there, and I just fell on my knees and cried:(
When I first saw this as a kid the first thing I tell my mom "I want a puppy! Look at them been sad!" And I got it. :D She died shortly after though. :c
This is the movie scene that changed my life forever. This is what inspired me to adopt a Nintendog for my DS. I just treasure the fact that the Nintendogs remain puppies forever.
I saw this on its first run in 1955. I then got a newspaper route and used the proceeds therefrom to buy a dog, a sweet little cocker spaniel. This film probably prompted alot of similar behavior over the years. What Disney took to be something of a pot-boiler turned out to be one of his most endearing and enduring favorites.
Thousands of Dogs and Cats are humanely euthanized every day in the United States because the animal shelters are full and they cannot be taken care of. Adopt a homeless animal at your local animal shelter today; also help control the pet population by getting your dog or cat spayed or nutered. Please?
I thaught this song was so funny, but again so wonderfully put together. I laughed. But then when I saw all those dogs crying I started to cry. I couldn't decide weather to laugh of to cry.!!! But I love this movie sooooo much!!.xxx
You'd have to be completely heartless not to cry when you watch this. So sad. Especially if you think about all the poor doggies out there that do need homes, and the millions of them that are killed every year, because there's "no room". Well, there's no room for people really, either, but we aren't being randomly put to sleep. Although I think some of us should be...
The song is "No place like Home" I saw this when I was 5 years old in 1957 and have loved it ever since. I remember it so well and have it on DVD. Disney had nothing to do with it really and the backroom staff made the film off their own bat. It is quite subversive if you think about it as the tramp gets the Lady. Oh and the sleep out at night is a bit 'immoral' and Nuttsie is off to be gassed because nobody wants him.
If i got one of those dogs to take home i would take the one from 42 causeeveryone else would have gone for those cute ones and he has a awsome bread :D
I used to watch this movie all the time with my mom.
She would always make me fast forward through this part because it was too sad.
