As a diehard Red Wings fan, I wanted to see Detroit win. However, I was very happy to see Mario Lemieux win a cup as an owner/president.

Lemieux and Yzerman are the true leaders of their generation. Lemieux is the best player that ever was.

Mario Lemieux IS Pittsburgh!!! Mario will always be a Penguin. He is the best Penguin of all time. I thank you, Super Mario, for rescuing the Penguins franchise and to keep our boys in Pittsburgh. GO PENS!!!

How can you say enough about Mario. The guy really deserved this. He bought the penguins to save them from going bankrupt. He fought really hard to get a new arena in which they really needed and now he wins the Stanley Cup as an owner.

@tbo452 i am from detroit but i must admit....lemieux is all time favorites and this man epitomizes class act....the detroit fans gave him a standing 'o' when he held up the cup!!!! class acts are loved in any town.
