I always thought this song was happy and nice sounding. While I still enjoy the sound of it after reading the lyrics it isn't as happy as a song anymore. The video is about people playing and having fun, but the song talks about a guy who has a gun like a cowboy, so he's alone and thinks it would be cool to go shooting. Then he speaks about how the kids with pumped up kicks need to out run his bullets, like he is going to go on a shooting spree on all of trendier, upper class kids w/ nice shoes.
