  • Amazing i play piano and i can never accomplish that!

  • You have a beautiful technique and you capture the warmth, magic and excitement of this piece with far more charm that I have ever heard in a commercial recording.

  • perhaps you shouldn't wear the vest if you think it makes you look fat and you're recording yourself. Anyway, the playing is beautiful and that's what matters, yes?

  • it was beautiful, I love faure!!

  • wow wonderful job!

what sucks is that my piano teacher wants me to play this right now for a competition

    sounds normal...except that im only 13 -__-

i can only stretch on octave..so my hands aren't that big

*cry* i'll keep on trying though

  • If your teacher is pressurising you into areas you don't want to go - you need to talk it with them and your parents and sort it. OR change teacher. If it goes on it can be very de-motivating.

  • Try breaking your fingers. It worked for me.

  • your fingers just like dancing and quick! that would take me few years to play that well! me(grade 2)

  • are you going to take dip too?

  • Well played! Not that you can help it, but that piano is terribly bright sounding.

  • WOW!

  • (continued) Keep up the good work! (By the way, I love how you handle the written in rubatos in the B sections.)

  • (continued) Faure's piano music tends to be neglected, and his solo piano works are admittedly varied in craftsmanship. However, I think his best ones are the Impromptus 2 and 6 (the latter originally exists as a work for solo harp), the Barcarolles 5, 12, and 13, the Nocturnes 6, 7, and 13, and the Preludes (my favorite is 7 in A major). The Theme and Variations, Op.73 is a pretty popular work, but I find it a bit too ordinary and it doesn't seem to show off Faure's unique style very well.

  • Nicely done! How long have you been playing? Videotaping yourself playing is an extremely valuable tool to be able to see what you are doing and how you can improve. My only critique on the interpretation of the piece (and I should be ashamed of myself to offer any critique as you play better than I do) is that the tempo should stay absolutely steady coming out of the B sections (I think the overall structure is A B A'B'Coda).

  • That was very good, well done! I'm also studying this piece among others and i found your performace very interesting. Keep up!!

P.S. I think that last C before the ending should be played one octave lower.

  • Wow, thanks! Personally I think I didn't play exceptionally, lol. Good luck with your studies! :D

And hmm, the C is actually like that on my sheet music.

  • TeleTubby!
