  • @dannyuval Sure thing! I was actually just contemplating making a tutorial for Sai.... O.O you psychic?

  • BWAHHH?!?!?! Mark Crilley himself commented on this?!!?!? *dies*

  • hey bud nice pic how were you sizing up the certain parts in the blue box that would come in handy.

  • Hey, great cartoon. What program are you using? (compiler)

  • @sweetsuger101 I was using a Bamboo fun tablet and the program I was using to draw was Paint tool SAI.

  • how the hell do u do that on the computer

  • how to paint it like water color?? i cant find it

  • @imPLaKao i think u have to use photoshop

  • @DjGrizzlyWolf of course i do but i can't paint like this T[]T

  • Wow I really love it! :D

  • whats the song? your art is really nice, i'm sure you'll grow to be a great artist someday :D

  • Subbed because your cool.

  • @2768Vids haha thanks :)

  • @hood547 hey i need some help with that program :(

i messed up the settings, is there a way to get default settings back :o ?

  • Great effort, but if I might make a few suggestions in the spirit of constructive criticism:

    1. Your proportions are just a bit off, especially on Miki. Her arms are a little thick and her torso and chest are a little scrunched. Also Hiro's shoulders don't look quite right. Shoulders tend to have more of a slope to them, while it looks like he's wearing mini football shoulder pads.

    2. There's not a whole lot of life in these characters by the way they're gestured and positioned... (cont.)

  • @Bluedragon094 (2)

... partially due to the fact that you don't use gesture drawings, which isn't a deal breaker necessarily, but it can really help. Also even using lines of action to a degree.

All of this can be improved with more life drawing.

Remember, I'm not trying to cut you down or anything of the sort, it is a good effort, but I'm noticing a lot of people who're just going to sit by and tell you you did a good job and not tell you how to improve. And that's... (cont.)

  • @Bluedragon094 (3)

... death to an artist. We all need to improve to be really great at our crafts. As much of an ego boost it is to hear how much people like our artwork, it's far more important to hear what's WRONG with an artwork to learn from it, do better next time, and improve!

I know when I get into critiques it sucks when people tell me what's wrong with a piece, but it really is for the best.

Best of luck hood547, keep on keepin' on!

  • @Bluedragon094 Yeah I know there is a lot wrong with the drawing :P I do appreciate the criticism though and I totally agree that it's better to hear how to improve than just how great you are. So thanks for the help, you rock! :D

  • @MrBraniac09 I have a bamboo fun and I was using Paint tool SAI and Hypercam 2 for the screen recorder. It took me forever to get used to drawing on the computer, and I'm still needing a LOT of practice. Good luck on the lessons and keep drawing because you'll only get better! :)

  • pretty cool!

  • Whoever disliked this doesn't know how to draw a straight line

  • That's amazing! The one person who dislikes this obviously has brain problems--or worse, they don't know who Mark Crilley is.[:

  • i always learn more from watching these kinds of videos since i love to draw too. :)

  • @JulianLulz Me too! drawing is so GREAT!

  • amazing!

  • @wr7d thank you :D

  • I love it! Thanks so much for creating this artwork and for uploading the video. You really captured the spirit of both Miki and Hiro, and I love the care you put into coloring the piece. Great music, too-- thanks again! ^_^

  • @markcrilley Mark your so awesome, inspiring today's youth. To be honest you've inspired me too, well done.

  • @markcrilley wow I wasn't sure if you were going to see this or not :) Thanks for the comment, made my day!
