What I really like about this band, is that unlike all these other people that cover video game tunes, they use all kinds of distortion and unnecessary bends to turn it into a guitar pissing contest. These guys do a great job and usually keep it clean or make some effects to make it sound a lot closer to the game.

whichever douchebag said this music is pale or sucks, does not know music. This song has all the elements of harmony, tension, etc that you could want. Even if you dont like it (assuming your a douchebag), this song takes incredible skill. I mean compare this to kanya west who auto-tunes, does not play any instrument. Man, talk about a good choice of material. Goonies II is a soundtrack that is not worth overlooking. Lest we forget, Konami is still Konami, and I'd be hard-pressed to name a subpar soundtrack from their sound people in the 1980s, even for a game based off of a movie. These guys should bust out the level 1 or level 2 themes from Jackal sometime. Those tunes are epic.

ok the problem is that the advantage versions of the songs rarely sound any differnt than the original except that they are a little louder....theyre being WAY to technical about the whole thing.....the minibosses take these old 8-bit songs and make them into great hard rock music.... i guess your choice depends on wether or not your really worried about how true the songs stay to the original versus wether its a really good song or not....god im such a nerd....

My friends and I have talked about this before. While the Minibosses version may not be all that like the Advantage, the minibosses have 'soul' while the Advantage is all 'technical'. They seem to want their songs to be clean and when it really comes down to it, its all based on what the bands style is. ENUF SAID
