  • Most likely a FAA Sport or Private Pilot certificate will be required at the very least.

  • Beautiful white WACO

  • In the beginning, what is the guy doing with the prop?

  • The engine has no electric starter, to reduce weight or malfunctioning.

  • can you fly them on just a private pilots licence ? or is there some more training needed? id love to get one but i need to know if i can fly one first , cheers wb

  • Google "cost of flying lessons" there is plenty to read.

  • search youtube box "cost of flying lessons"

  • can you fly these on just a ppl then ?

  • Sorry I understand "ppl" to mean "people" and do not know what your use is. Please clarify.

    Don

  • Sure, you can fly these with a private pilots license. They would most likely be very easy to fly, but very basic and of course not designed for distance as someone else said, VFR only. Most of the people that have these are very dedicated to maintaining them and bringing them to shows, etc. The more difficult part is going to be finding one of these for sale in flying condition that you could still afford. I can imagine they an absolute blast to fly though and I would love to fly one someday!

  • That was outstanding. These are the kind of planes you fly, not so much to get somewhere, but for the joy of flying. The Stearman is my heart throb.

  • Larger still photos are available check "About This Video". What I like about this video is the grass airfield, no pavement.

  • I like grass too. My father and I used to fly to the Texas Gulf Coast with his friend Bill Seidel. Both my father and Col. Seidel were pilots in the Air Force and Col. Seidel continued to fly after retirement. He had a Cessna 172 he flew out of his pasture. Since those days I've always wanted to fly out of my back yard too.

  • what make is the snow white biplane??

  • Originally produced in 1934/1935 by the WACO Aircraft Company of Troy, Ohio, the WACO YMF was unquestionably regarded as the finest open sport aircraft. When production was re-established in 1986 with the WACO YMF Classic, many updated features were incorporated.
