I get what you're saying. Be proactive. Don't make excuses. Make a decision. But most people fail to make a decision because of a lack of clarity. The path to the office every morning is quite clear. You know what you'll get. It's the devil you know. The decision to leave the corporate world, for example, involves a lot of uncertainty. In the lack of moral certainty, people will do one of two things 1) nothing or 2) guess haphazardly. Both are poor options.
