Ah yes.. I do love listeningg to Liszt, but this is the first time I've heard Cziffra play. I must say, I am quite impressed. He plays very casually, and with... energy. I like this version quite the lot, but I prefer pieces more 'to the note' if you will. Instead of adding all those extra notes.
Lui c'est de la virtuosite poetique, et pas que des doigts qui vont vite. C'est le genie. C'est incroyable sa comprehension de cette oeuvre. Il met peu de pedale par rapport aux autres je trouve et ca rent mieux.
Ca reste un morceau extraordinairement difficile, a part les trois premieres mesures ... lol
