  • dont mater who hates him ( or chisel), fact is that if we are still here in 100 years there still gonna play it on the radio everyday. would hate to be someone who actually didnt like them, just imagine having to keep your radio on one of them poofter stations, cause there the only ones who dont play it

  • Jimmy the boy from Scotland that made it big in Australia.

  • Haha ppl, don't let Stanley fool you.. he loves it; he's just highlighting how good Jimmy is, by being the SINGLE disliker. Clever stuff, Stan, not to mention quite decent of you, to bear all the grief being aimed. Thanks, mate. ;)

  • if this song sucks why are you on the page you wierd cunt?

  • @StanleyWiddos So go and insult that somebody, then. To pick a fight with Jimmy Barnes fans is unwise. How'd you like it if we visited all your favourite clips and disrespected them?

  • Comment removed

  • one of jimmy barnes best songs....luv it and luv him!

  • @StanleyWiddos Your taste fucking sucks

  • Comment removed

  • @StanleyWiddos You're visiting a clip put up by a Barnesy fan, so be a nice guest and mind your fucking manners. Jimmy Barnes is known and loved by a multitude, but who the fuck knows you? You're a pimple on the arse of YouTube.

If you don't like Barnesy what brings you here? Came here for a fight didn't you? Piss off you hypocritical turd.

  • You are all English , in the begining so relax , and i find it strange that the conversation should consist of what a man drinks , when the music is what brings people to the page

  • He is a Salisbury-Elizabeth boy, that's as Aussie as you can get.

  • My mum and dad are aussie, I was born overseas, does that make me unaustralian? @whthfrk = dummkopf

  • brilliant

  • i care not for buddhist barnesy

  • Jimmy Barnes has a crazy god given talent. So does Steve Prestwich for writing this song

  • Best song Barnsy' ever sang & yes I agree Fosters is shit

  • looks like i just found the version of Flame Trees i am going to cover........... thanks for uploading this .......... :)

  • its Don Walker that made Cold Chisel great not Barnsey, though he screams good... i spose hes good... i find him pretty annoying sometimes... but yeah still an icon

  • @ferret630 yes but take phill , steve jim, and ian out of the picture and hmmm well its not gona sound like chisel and lets not forget thats why everyone bought there records because they liked the sound and songs of cold chisel its like saying a motor is the most important on a car,,, what about the rest of it thats what makes that car great you need all those parts to make COLD CHISEL...cheers..

  • Totally agree with you ferret don and ian were legend song writers!!

  • I drink whatever Paul Hogan tells me to drink...

  • I drink what ever Paul Hogan tells me to.....

  • coopers pale ale ... Don Walker was what made Cold Chisel good not Jimmey Barns though hes alright, he screams good...

  • Anyway it's Australia who has given him the chance to be famous. Not Scotland. Give the country some credit for good taste!

  • There is no one like Jimmy, he is simply the best. I love this song, and when I hear his beautiful voice sing this, or any other song, it transports me to a happy place.

  • Is he covering a Sarah Blasko song? Or is it the other way around? Either way both versions are great!

  • @29494125 Blasko's covering this great man.

  • @29494125

This song is nearly 30 years old.

  • I just love how his max effort is in every word he sings...

  • This is why we risk our lives day in and day out. 3RAR to the end. At the end of every tour having a beer and listening to Jimmy makes the sacrifices worth it.

  • Very cool Jimmy....as always! ...and of course Ian Moss...Bloody Fantastic!!!!

  • @laidbackmama Mossy is not in this film clip man! I've known and loved this song for so long but have only recently just started singing it in the cover band I sing for and I've know listened to about 5 different live versions and each has it's own brilliance. You can hear a big difference between the early versions when Barnsey was using foldback wedges as opposed to when he's using in ear monitors!

  • Going to Brewers Bar, Mt Maunganui tomorrow night to rock out to Jimmy, can't wait, he is awesome, love his music, love his voice, love his energy.

  • I LOVE JIMMY BARNES! I grew up around his music cos my parents are big fans too. LIKE IF YOU THINK HES BLOODY AWSOME! HE IS TRUE AUSSIE AND SO AM I!!

  • Can never get enough of any of Jimmy's songs..over the years they just mean more and more to me xox

  • there is no better way to ease the pain of a bad day than a stiff drink and some jimmy barnes god bless your soul jimmy your music will never be forgotten not while i'm still breathing anyway!

  • for cherie oxo xthis is a song that is ours gf oxox love ya

  • I'm aussie. Fosters tastes like shit. Bbqs are quite good though. But no Fosters. Cralton draught, Coopers, West End. XXXX (4 ex) Bitter, James Boags, Victorian Bitter, Tooheys... I could go on for a while... Shit, Strongbow... But NO Fosters.

  • @charliedontsurf100 what was the point of that rant?

  • @charliedontsurf100 I'm an Aussie, and would certainly agree with the beer choices. Fosters is shit. I don't know any aussie who drinks Fosters. Have you tried Little Creatures? It's the shit! Top stuff. But I digress. Barnsey is one of the sounds/flavours of Oz. Just to hear his voice is to be home.

  • @AussieEvonne

    little creatures for the win.

  • @charliedontsurf100 whats wrong with fosters you cunt. and wheres james squire on the list?

  • Comment removed

  • To be an aussie you need to drink fosters and have lots of bbq's

  • @GuysSeriously Man, No ONE drinks Fosters in OZ

  • @GuysSeriously yeah mate and we got kangaroos and koalas for pets too...

  • Fuckin love jimmy barnes..

  • this is one of the best versions of flame trees i have heard

  • @KTfelz Can't say I have ever heard a bad one from Jimmy or Mossy.

  • @357HFC

yeah but this one is better

not saying the others are bad just this one better

  • Jimmy,Jimmy,Jimmy Oi,Oi,Oi

  • he's an aussie. listen to his accent!

  • He is aussise. You dont need to be born here to be aussie. You just have to embrace our way of life and NEVER let your mates down. Barnesy tunes are best enjoyed with mates and a few drinks. All his lyrics, stories and feelings he sings about are Australian flavours. This is a forum for chisel/barnes fans not people who dont know who they are. All i care about is that you love this country and would die for it like thousands have before you. If you don't, then your not aussie

  • @DrinkNinja what you wrote should be written in to the constitution. Goodonya!!!!!

  • @DrinkNinja um dude to be australian you should actually be born here, just saying

  • @whthfrk So then, dude, by your own definition, neither Jimmy Barnes, or Steve Prestwich are Australian, is that what you're saying? Such a stupid thing to say - just saying ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @DrinkNinja FUCKING AMEN!!!! Could not say it more perfectly mate. At all.

  • re. jimmys nationality .... as a scot id say hes an Aussie but thats realy up too Jimmy to say .... does it realy matter though .... there both lovely countrys with great people who value human kindness .... be kind be good be nice

  • I still love him,go Jimmy what a man love you..You saved me over and over..With your songs and voice...XX

  • We all know that "..... feeling of hurt ".

We are one and the same.

    Peace.

  • I was born and brought up in Australia. My mums family goes back to the Irish convicts. My dads paternal line is Sweiss. However, the men married Irish and french women. My grandmother has some English and Italian. On appearance most people think I am a green eyed,Italian with an Aussie accent. I've never had a strong attachment to nationality.I could be nothing other than Australian. However, I consider myself a universal citizen.I'm currently living in Korea.

Just wanted to rant. Don't mind me.

  • @b10016914 well..your a fucking disgrace to our country, plain and simple...fuck you!...that is all.

  • @0ptimus01 Come on man, at least say what you mean. No need for the neanderthal talk, don't be such a knuckle dragger.

Why do you think I'm such a disgrace?

  • Got your reply mate and I agree that Australian culture has had an influence on him quite naturally since he has lived there from a young age but there is no denying the fact that he is Scottish since both his parents are Scottish and he was born in Scotland. i don't want to be pedantic about the fact but it's true! Anyway I think that we should just relax and enjoy the man as he is, a true god of rock and a brilliant singer.

  • Sorry to inform you mate but he's Scottish. He was born in Glasgow and left when he was 6

  • Doesn't stop him from being a true aussie lol

  • He was indeed born there, but by his up bringing he is Australian, he has lived there for almost all of his life. Where you are born doesn't necessarly (and always) define what nationality you really are. For me he was, is , and will be Australian.

  • Jimmy, *sigh*.......a true Aussie.....he will always live on with us after he's gone through his music and memory :')

  • That rocks!!!!!!! Go jimmy!!!!!
