  • junk.

  • This is a high voltage peace os shit. There's no sound quality just power.

  • @MrAltafino i dont see you having a system. and this is a seriously high quality system with all high quality components. the camera distorts badly and takes away the quality. so take your dumb ass comments

  • @EASTYJAZ34 Yes,i have but didnt uploaded any video about my system. If u know anithing else but giga and mega wats i will tell u my components.Howewer,i have loudspeakers copy of visaton experience v20.The copy is big reason because i got more better accessories than manufacturing got.Have a squeezbox with home made (burr/brown copy) tube D/A converter, preamp is copy of Marantz 7 with more better upgrade, and a power amp Hiraga 2x20 wats in absolute "A"class. So wats wee talking about?

  • @MrAltafino yes i know about nearly all concepts of audio visual.

i ordered a class d 10+10 watt amplifier just so i an experiment with vintage subwoofers.

this is so i can give my vintage audio system some bottom end but still give it the "vintage" look.

now onto the system on this video,.

those subwoofers are sealed giving the bass a musical kick but not so bad to take away anything under 30 hz..

notice how he uses 2 pairs of floor standers?

this is so he doesnt loose any...

  • @MrAltafino (CONTINUED FROM last comment) musical/sound quality but still keeping the volume at a high level.

the more speakers you have the higher the volume may go.

4 tweeters is balanced enough to keep musical listening at a high quality

  • this is like a dream system that i could only dream about well thats why they call it a dream system =D

  • you must be a HUGEEE bass head... i mean....2 pairs of floorstanders AND 2 SUB-WOOFER?!! i mean....floor standers already produce so much bass !! ... speakers are DIY speakers??

  • Nice reviews of home theater systems..

  • that system looks like it would burn out quick

  • you know you've gone too far when you need fans for ur subs.. but nice setup man. Don't break anything =)

  • the subwoofers are active?

  • buy a reciver and but those speakers correctly

    then gomes the good surround

  • has that tv ever fell off the waallll haaha

  • The speakers are awesome. Just ditch the TV (its awesome too) and get ur self a good projector :D Bet watching movies would be very awesome :)

  • Nice stereo check mine out

  • Awesome :)

  • to small room for those speakers, for sure

  • lol why you are useing 2 fan against your stereo system? very strange!

  • Amazing

  • Nice ;) 5/5 and check my audio ;P

  • GREAT SYSTEM MAN!!!!! EXCELLENT!!!

  • Your sound quality is shot because you have to run fans in the stup..... I bet the imaging is terrible since you're running multipoint speakers. The best imaging would come from one set of speakers. Also the pc in front of that woofer probably isn't helping things.

  • bad speaker placement ...

  • i love the sound quality. this is how stereo systems should be.

  • my stereo produces louder sound levels than the movie theatres. i got a 21'' 5000 watt subwoofer and 5 10'' surround sound speakers

  • for movies an this type of music you would of better gotten a jbl set ..

in any case, nice setup :)

  • he is as mad as a bag of cats probably deaf by now also it is a complete waste of reasonably good equipment

  • This is a very nice system but I think mine would probobly win. I just gotta finish the restoration.

  • kickin hard man

  • did you guys not read the video description?

  • its a boys toy

  • You mean give the money to you?

  • "Before commenting on the speaker and sub placement, please observe the size of the room, and understand that there is nowhere else for the stuff to go."

And anyways, hes got a new house now I think.

  • there is just too much equipment in that small of a space to achieve decent sound.

  • Fair Point... I am more of a SQ guy but... SQ at decently high volumes... I have got some old floorstanders at the moment but single woofer/mid cones arn't giving enough bass... time to upgrade... when I get the cash

  • i was going to comment on the speaker set up but unlike the idiot who made a comment iv lived in a small room nice system mate. oh yeah the other guys jelous

  • they may be the best speakers but your playing crap.all i hear is boom boom boom.

  • You waste your money with all these equipment, because you don`t have idea what the hi-fi is and what`s his purpose. Small room, very, very bad speaker placement, monitor on the sub, naked walls, little table between subs and all these speakers...for me, this is a amater job. Learn something about hi-fi first.

  • Nice Room and All, Music is good too:D

  • wow, mean stereo :D

  • if you're watching a movie... you DEFINATELY need a bigger screen lmao

  • Why are the subwoofers not color matched?

  • Bet your neighbours love you...!

  • NICE SYSTEM,BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF MY VIDEO,LOL,I definitly need to pump up my system

  • Thats a tiny room there, you should spend your money on a higher rental imao

  • is the tv hot ?

  • ah yes a shoe salesmen and on the sidelines you collect ciggaret butts and sell them to the homeless people who smoke...........i was trying to figure out how the fuck you afforded al of this expensive stuff but you see now i know what you do for a living :D

  • the room seems very too small for that sound pressure level, I don't know why people often think louder is better, because it's not that at all. Maybe it's the case here, but there are still too many db for the size of room

  • Looks like around 1:40 that the sub driver is out of phase with the towers, very nice clean sounding system even through a camera mic. You may get a bit better response if all the drivers are in phase try reversing the terminals on the towers. Go big or go home!!

  • Too much speakers for a little room... it would be better with big room and LCD TV

  • Dude do you even have a door to that room? I didnt see one at all.

Looks like a good setup just very DIY lol

  • ps3 ftw :D

  • @lolkungen94 lol!

  • Name Music's ??

  • names of the first two tracks please

  • Careful you don't knock your tv off the wall with all that bass :-D

  • Dude, you're using a plasma for your computer? Aren't you afraid of burn-in?

  • yh...i agreee lcd is the better option

  • plenty of good anti burn-in tech.

  • Far too much in such a small space, Nice kit just way too much.....Them speakers need room to breath....

  • Can your room is it too small for this speakers ?

  • the amps are directly under the tv :P

  • nice system and ps3 ftw!

  • Your subs and your main speakers are out of phase dude....rookie mistake...nice system though.

  • you da maaaaan......jerk

  • your room is the size of my closet!

  • wat brand are those tower speakers?

  • i bet your neighbors hate you, id love to be your neighbor tho!

  • are those speakers sheilded cuz your computers awfully close

  • damn that is one sweet set up is that an alien ware PC? that is a dream set up good work i have a decent set up in my room i might put a video on youtube of it.

  • that isnt an alien ware pc its his custom built pc :D

  • Why does everyone think a pc with a clear side is Alienware?

  • i skipped the screen and got a DLP projector. check out the new NEC. cheap price 4-600.$ for new projector, 3000/4000 hour bulb new $177. bright, high contrast.

  • highpointtheatre (dot) com/images/photogallery/tech/JBL_VERTEC (dot) jpg

  • nice but if i were u i would not put a crt monitor on top of a sub

  • what's the name song ?

  • Interesting setup. What I would have done is just have one pair of floorstanders, having 2 will cause lobing issues with the treble. I would then ensure i'm high-passing them at 70-80hz, 24db active crossover. With that done they will handle plenty of power negating the need for 2 pairs. The extra money could go toward a third sub, playing with thier positioning could achieve really good bass response.

Anyhow, sounds like your having lots of fun with it :). Those Monitor Audios look nice too.

  • thats sum serious amount of kit lol shame ur room aint bigger but still fukkin gd mate

  • swap all this for a Pro/semi pro Dj system it would suit your music better. those amps can cope with 400+ watts output or whatever you need without having to use some old desk fan to cool them down.

  • You have wasted yr money cos you have set your hi-fi up like a cunt

  • i just pmsl

  • jealous much? XD

  • Not at all cos I have a proper hifi not some bling distortion boom box shite set up in a tiny.......cheers

  • These are B&W speakers, they are one of the best brands of speakers..

  • Those Speakers are Monitor Audio Silver Series cos I own a pair of S6's for my home cinema. This person must be a severe boomy sound very distorted & the timing must be all over joint .

  • The placement of the speakers.. they could sound nice if put to more open space. Walls are too close, side and backways. =)

  • why do u have 2 tvs?

  • y love drumand bass

  • This is a bit like them PA systems you see at the funfairs on the cool rides.

  • well, you have a great audio system, but with all these amplifiers, it is not compatible for a dolby digital sound. It's bad for that...

  • I need your room :)

  • i need it more...

  • You should try to play some fast metal song or play guitar hero on this sound system, this would be so amazing !

  • Is it not bad for the cones to move that much?

Also, when you buy a new speaker, should you 'bed it in' by playing it for a few horus before you crank it the volume and bass?

  • ashtait14 WTF r u on!

  • whats the brand of your computer? it sound like big theater in your room.

  • FYI, you probably have no imaging due to the four speaker setup. Sure it might be loud but if you drop down to two speakers, your sound quality would improve. Also how are you feeding the signal from your computer to the amp? Is it analog or does the amp have digital in? If you're using standard outs from the computer (analog), its going to be pretty bad unless you have a pro grade card.

  • I have little imaging in the bedroom, but good imaging in the lounge. I didn't buy four speakers straight away, I had one pair for about two years. To one extent some detail and live feeling was slightly better with one pair of speakers, but then again other details (vocals in particular) sound better with both pairs. It's weird and hard to describe, but two pairs of speakers, for me, has made a more pleasurable listen (a fuller yet clearer sound) and things become more striking in the music

  • I hope you can get what I mean. As for the sound card, yes it is analog and made by Audigy, but was their best model they sold at the time. As you've seen I do have a very good CD player, but since a lot of my music is now downloaded the CD player has become moot. I would never sell it though. I don't suppose using the PC really matters though since the room is unsuitable as it is. As I said though, the system was a future investment in my interests.

  • I see ok it all makes sense now. You know what you can do if you want to use your PC as a sound source...buy an external DAC and connect your amp to the analog outs on the DAC. The PC would feed the DAC via optical or coax. I currently have a squeezebox and I picked up a used DAC so I hope in a week to have it...but I plan to buy another used DAC and connect it to my PC. I have a pair of smaller speakers and a spare amp so good sound from the PC would be nice :)

  • Not all motherboards have analog ports; I've got 8 channel HD digital audio straight off my mobo; no extra sound card. :P

  • Its apparent that you know nothing about audio or a soundstage, why do you people degrade audio?

  • It's apparent that you know nothing about open thinking. For the time being, I still live with my parents with this dinky little bedroom. However, staying with my parents while paying less than half towards house keeping than I would rent to a place of my own meant that I was able to save a substantial amount of money in a short amount of time. I bought everything that I wanted while I had the money and opportunity, regardless that my room was completely unsuitable. Think of like an investment.

  • I knew that I would never be able to afford something like this for years to come. Hopefully, providing that things stick to plan, in a few months I should be in a house share with a friend of mine where we have a open, decent sized lounge that will be a lot better for my setup.

If you disagree with the 'musical' tastes and thrashing of the system, as I've mentioned before I do not always listen to this sort of music nor at this sort of volume. I also listen far more 'audiophile' music than this

  • DANG YOU HAVE A CLUB IN YOUR ROOM

  • Very nice bro! I like!

I gotta some new vids, the garbage sonys are gone, lotta speakers/ subs in my room now! just the camera sux lol. i got a equalizer AND a preamp mixer on my 3000W DJ amp. sounds beautifull! as well as yourz!

  • u should port one sub and keep the other one sealed so u get a bandpass effect :D

  • Good equipment but too much for thay room, its overkill. Sometimes less is more !

  • That system is loud. But who cares about loudness, it's about the fidelity which, that system will ace it.

  • Can't agree with this man. You have all those speakers and no room. Most of the performance is in the room. Give the speakers some space..LOTS OF SPACE. What you're hearing is mostly the room, you're not getting anywhere near the performance you should get. The room and setup is not audiophile (which the hardware is).

You only need one pair of floorstanders (or you could use the smaller pair for rears).

Put you're subs in opposite corners of the room.

And long live monitor audio ;)

  • yo my subwoofer are hard hitting

  • great system ! big lcd pannel and style !

    good music !!

    5 stars

  • port the subs :D

  • its a very very very big sound system but i think you need more powerfull watts on that system and you need bigger cable..... its very big man how does it coast ???

i'am german my englisch is not so good but i think i'ts ok

  • he has plenty of watts. Those are very good amps he's using.

PS: Your English is pretty good for a german;)

  • If he had anymore watts, it would probably damage the speakers:P

  • oh and those 7 fans :D arent 7 fans bit noisy? take few off and you can sell your system and buy something nice from sony.

    peace im out..

  • wow JinXeoO are you kidding me? I think you can see there's two fans. And a pair of those speakers cost more than Sony shit.. a few of his cables already cost more than a high end amplifier from Sony..

  • jin my mistake. you were talking about the pc though, the fans can't be heard as he has such loud speakers

and sorry mfx for posting so many comments

  • Hello again. i see you got your system to upstairs and still you just throw everything somewhere to brass with it. and whats with the fans m8?? are you overloading your amplifiers? match impedance of amps and speakers and you can stick those fans into some dark warm place to rot. since you before claimed youre hifi type guy, why dont you BUILD your system? there are some nice circuits out there waiting to be put together.

  • you get no range with that setup.

that kind of system needs a bigger room.

all that sound crunched together like that.

  • your system is so freaking huge! how much did it cost you for that monster system?

  • Be careful for your PS3...I hope your speakers are magnetically shielded

Sorry for my english :) And your system is really good i want also buy a pair of MONITOR AUDIO speakers :]

  • The camera's microphone is rubbish for picking up bass. The louder or lower the bass the more compression the recording will have. That's why you get that dull sound when the camera is near the subs or tower's woofers.

The same thing happens on my mobile phone, but to a much worse extent. I've tried filming tracks with my phone and the sound output is nigh on silent when you play it back. I've also tried my MP4 player but that can't handle the volume so it distorts too much.

  • ashtait14, well you're a noob. All microphones are different LOL...and I doubt it would. Turn up your fake system and see if it distorts or not. So each of your fake subwoofers are getting 300 watts.

  • Track list is still not up? =(

Or can you atleast tell me what the first song please is lol

  • You're right. I did say I'd put the track names up and I completely forgot. They're up there now.

You should give the last two songs a try, they're good fun.

  • I really hope u dont live with your parents when u got this system :D

  • if u put more holes in the speaker and sub housin u shud get more bass

  • jake482, you kidding me? How can there be not enough bass when he has two 12" subwoofers each with 400 watts rms? The speakers are probably still producing bass and the bass reflex port is probably behind the speaker. Thus, it's better for them to produce the mids and highs and let the subs do the lows. And the reason why you think there isn't enough bass is:

    1. Your computer speakers don't have a subwoofer.

    2. The microphone could not capture the bass.

    3. He just overdubbed the audio

  • sorry mate but that system is way to big for that room! small speakers would sound 1000 times better!

  • But real men have big speakers.

  • what "brand" are you using? in speakers :D?

  • The older series of Monitor Audio's Silver Range. These are the S8 and S10 models, the two biggest they made. They were replaced in 2006 with a revised cabinet, named the RS series, but they largest they have is the RS8. There is no RS10.

The subs were made by REL before they were bought out by a foreign company. These were very good in their day, as was the company, but I'm not sure how things have been going over the last two years. I believe generally, they are a making slow decline.

  • is all the music homemade?

  • very nice .but i would swop them two subs and get the mighty SVS sub.seprate yuor speakers to each corner u will get better sound.you got no surround speakers ??

  • mfx150, forgive me if you have already said this but about how many watts rms is your entire system. You've got a nice setup!

  • The subs are self amplified and are 800w rms. The speakers are 750w rms, but amplification going into them is about 500-550W. It could be a little more or a little less, it depends on the Ohms, but 500w is a safe bet.

That means total speaker and sub handling = 1.55Kw, and total amplification = +1.3Kw. It's not all about power though, quality is of the essence.

  • Yes quality is better than all-out power. I was just wondering what the wattage is because it seems to get loud and not distort at all. Those amps look really nice, and they aren't bullshit watts like most are today.

  • Without the industrial fans, would the amplifiers heat up so bad that they shut off? Are there any fans on them like a 120mm sucking the air out or something? Anyways, awesome tv and those speakers are amazing. Hehe please put up the tracklist soonerr!

  • None of the amps have internal fans. Heating up was only a problem when I didn't have enough amplification. The two silver amps would, after an hour of throttling, almost burn me to touch, but they never once shut off. I bought the fans as a precaution and they did a stella job. Having a third amp though now means there's enough amplification, and therefore little build up of heat.

  • Now that is badass!

I'd totally do something like that, but I have certain restrictions because of my neighbours and money needs.. a man can only dream. :P

  • You know, I've seen your name several times over the past few months and only now it's just clicked what/who it was inspired by. Haha, I should have know better, since I have some of their material.

Do you have their track "The Siren (feat Audio Angel)"? A beautiful bit of drum and bass. I recorded my system playing it and was so close to having that at the end of this vid instead of Die Hard. In fact, I'll put in my next one.

  • Har har!

I do have The Siren.. :) I favoured it quite a long time ago when I was into the more ambient type of D&B.

You might already know I'm not actually Influx UK, but that is where I got my nick from.

I'm keen on the title of the track in this video, half way through, sounds like it hits!

As to the sharing music thing, I wouldn't mind doing that, your tunes are better, though. :P

  • Hey man u got to show me where u get ur songs from

  • You'd be surprised how much free stuff you can grab legally. At first I used to preview CDs and then order them on the internet, but a lot of them weren't quite hitting my music tastes. Then I searched around for a long while across drum and bass websites. Their online radio stations and live gig pages give you loads to download, and some have 'virtual magazines' with free music. My video Demanding Tracks 3 was from one of these 'magazines'. Just type "dnb radio" into Google. Bassdrive is good.

  • nice nice nice! :D

  • not sure about the fans??made a few changes my self to mine

  • Before I added the third amplifier into the system, the two X150's would get pretty hot after a loud session because they were slightly under powered for the speakers, hence the purchase of the cooling fans. However now that the power ratings and ohm levels are practically matched, they only become warm like they're supposed to. Nevertheless, there's nothing wrong with being safer than sorry :)

  • looking pretty sweert

  • are sealed subs better?

  • Depends on what you want from a sub.

A sealed unit responds faster, the bass is tighter (more accurate), has a flatter frequency response, won't give up below a port hole setting or suffer chuffing noise from a port hole.

A ported sub plays louder, and can play deeper if setup correctly. They also don't require as much power to operate, and tend to be cheaper. They are probably less fussy about where they are placed too.
