  • I have to disagree with the auto tranny claims. My 6 speed has beat automatics on close to 1/4 racing. I need to record some of my runs. It depends on your shifting skill. I can shift at high rpm fast to the point where the needle barely drops. Not to mention more horses with the manual engine to drivetrain ratio. I control the torque and horses with manual and I've been more successful compared to when I had an automatic. Sweet Camaro BTW nonetheless.

  • @p4horror Thanks bro, and I agree with you depending on your shifting skills. I especially agree with the power difference. My buddies and I pulled the motor out yesterday and found that the bell housing is cracked from the last mechanic and he also decided to take my 3500 stall converter while he was fucking me dry. I'm getting ready to buy a complete 6spd transmission and pedal assembly to convert my Auto to 6spd. Lookin forward to the difference when she is ready. Thanks for watching! :)

  • you in harligen i live in pharr tx i got a red 02 mustang get with a 96 cobra 4v swap only 6psi but a lot of weight reduction i think that would be a good race text me 9565331285

  • How did you get the rear z06 brake setup on? Any problems with the brake setup? Thanks very nice car!

  • If anything get a shift kit for the automatic

  • rims are worth as much as the car probably

  • auto :(

  • @zhaver Standard impresses friends, Autos win races..... Auto=WIN

  • @shawnmgarcia eh... not really. auto is good for cruising and all but any car enthusiast would agree pure driving comes from a manual. are you saying you have no skill and need auto to win? just saying.

  • @tacomanfan344 No, auto is proven for more consistent times at the track. This setup has no problems hitting 10's at the track and that's on an all motor setup. I know where your coming from though, all my other cars are standard but are not nearly as fast. I prefer my standard vehicles for daily drivers because they are fun to drive, especially my low 13sec daily SRT4 :) Thanks for commenting!

  • @tacomanfan344 yea bro everyone thinks Manuals are faster but the truth is Automtics are proven to be faster off the line than Manual now If you Doing a Long ass Straight manual is going to win but automatics shift at the best time possible thats Puts enough horses but doesn't stress the motor ex. auto's last longer. I used to have a 2000 Camaro SS iboc Springs, 3200 Vigilante stall(it was an auto) Custom air intake manifold, Magnaflow Bullets(straight pipes) and its 60 foot was 1.29 w/ 12.5 1/4

  • @zhaver LS2 :)

  • can anyone tell me wut that hood is called or at least where I can find one, cuz i have a 95 and i want to put a hood like that on it.

  • @homelesspimps 1998-2002 SS Hood. It does not fit your 95 but a 93-97 SS hood would look great!

  • @shawnmgarcia ah man. ya i have that hood but i just wanted a minor hood scoop like that though

  • @homelesspimps I'll be completely honest, go with a legit hood... Kinda expensive but will completely change the look of the car. Worth every penny imo. it will all come together if your dedicated. Good luck bro :)

  • @shawnmgarcia ya ill probaly get that, i have a v6 but im gonna do something different, im gonna put a northstar v8 in it, and get the 98-02 ss wheels black and an iridescent blue paint job with back racing stripes down the middle

  • too bad its an auto. sweet ride tho man.

  • @MetalRulesRapSux I bought it BECAUSE it was an Auto... Thanks brah ;)

  • @shawnmgarcia no problem man. but these cars are definatly worth learning to drive a stick for haha.

  • @MetalRulesRapSux Yea I know, they are fun for sure. However, I've owned far to many stick shift vehicles in my life and have learned that Auto's are the most consistent platforms to work with. You can't go wrong with either imo..

  • What do you have for a transmission?

  • @ryanmtanner Automatic with a 3500 stall.

  • nice ass car man that things a beeeaassst!!! those look like zr1 wheels not zo6 wheels tho

  • @Kinsinger02 Haha, thanks for correct. They are ZR1 wheels. Dunno why i put z06. break setup is from zo6 though. Thanks bro!

  • are those zr1 wheels?

  • man what size rims and tires are those i have got to have a set and by the way your car is freakin nasty

  • and really all 4th gens share the same platform just diff parts thrown on... bumber cover hood headlights lt1 vrs ls1 blah blah. but all parts are interchangable between the 93- 02 camaro and the same with the firebirds/ t/a, but pontiac f-bodys have diff rear sheet metal so camaro and t/a parts atleast body wise are not always interchangeable

  • u hav my dream car, the 02 35 ann ss with the ls2... i saw one on the internet for 40 grand 1000 miles on it almost what i paid for my 2010 ss ls3

  • @IxOVERKILLxI Thanks! I love it too. The 98-02 Camaro's are my favorite car of all time. This car is highly modified and can easily run 10's with different tires and a little suspension work. It makes 550hp to the crank all motor and 490whp. This video does it no justice. It's a car that you have to see in person to really admire. Thanks for watching!

  • Ohh cool, i live in san antonio but i got to harlingen alot for family.

My big brother drives a 1998 white camaro z-28 H/C/I

    making 437wrhp. tuned by HPE

  • You live in Harlingen?

  • @ThatSkaterKid93 In the area.

  • Was wondering why you say 490rwhp in one vid and 580rwhp in another...did you change you set up?

  • @2424kara 550hp to the crank, 490RWHP> There was some confusion between me and the previous owner, once I clarified with him, I had mad ea new video and forgot to update the old one. Currently, No power adders on this car, it's making this power all motor.. I will be getting nitrous for it soon. Thanks for watching!

  • sharp

  • is it just me or do like the 02 camaros look longer in the front then the 98's??

  • @psykho15 It's just you. All 98-02 Fbody's are the same body with minor mechanical differences. Same LS1 engine, same everything. Only difference is the induction. Thanks for watching my video!! Subscribe!

  • Hey i got a black camaro .. ill be going to the track tonight if you want to line them up for fun.. it only has a ls1 tho ... to know who i am liscense plate says SVT LOL .. let me know

  • @UntamedRacingRGV I just got the car and am still getting use to it. I put some hoosier cheaters on but they are scratching the fender well so I have to either get some smaller slicks or go back to the Nitto's for daily driving. This beast spins all over the place it's crazy. I'll have to work out a few bugs before I start taking her to the track. I'll keep you in mind though bro. For the mean time, subscribe and add me. We all got to keep in touch and represent south texas together.

  • Sweet ride.

  • Love it

  • @jaxonsgsx Thanks bro. I do too :D I'm getting the hoosier cheater slicks tomorrow.

  • best of both worlds tuner and muscle

  • @poojacrew Yup, the 4g63 and LS series. Can't go wrong with them. Thanks.
