  • looks awful

  • @Ellia00 Looks like cat puke

  • erbs????

  • Brown meat first? I cook frozen cornish game hens in mine. Of course I cook them for a long time.

  • Half expected a finger to get sliced open there. Yikes.

  • Wow. Where was this video when I first got my crockpot?! Great info. Thanks. :D

  • how much power it uses

  • Not quite for dummies, but still an excellent tips nevertheless

  • I start from frozen all the time in a slow cooker, both meat and veg. Works fine for me.

  • @cjucoder You're very lucky. Most people that cook from frozen are instantly killed when they eat that kind of food. My neighbors family was wiped out in a slow cooking accident a few weeks back.

  • @rasoros Mine too. It was real sad. But, I didn;t really like them much anyway.

  • @SuperDickweed rofl

  • frozen things take longer to cook in the crock-pot - yes.... but "can promote the growth of harmful bacteria? rubbish!

Everything you put in a crock-pot will COOK... that means a high enough temperature to kill every micro organism... Unless you plan to ad to your stew extremofile bacteria that grow on the bottom of the ocean around those Hydrothermal vents...

  • Mmmmm...poultry at 140 degrees......shigellosis, e coli, salmonella, hepatitis A, listeria, campylobacter, cryptosporidia....mmmmm.....but the chicken was juicy, no?

  • @5446augusta I agree this is a horrendous video, but the point she made was just to get it to 140 within for hours (she says at "least" 4 hours, but I think she meant at "most"...then again...) But most recipes call for 8+ hours of cooking, so there's still time to get the chicken up to temp after that.

  • Thought she was going to cut her hand off! Looked like she must be blindfolded and just feeling her way around as she cut the chicken. Then she takes the lid off to stir it and can't even put the lid back on properly. Cooking for Dummies...or is it..By Dummies!

  • Thought she was going to cut her hand off! Looked like she must be blindfolded and just feeling her way around as she cut the chicken. Then she takes the lid off to stir it and can't even put the lid back on properly. Cooking for Dumbies...or is it..By Dumbies!

  • Alot to remember! Holy cow!

  • Why cook the meat b4 putting into the cooker? dosnt the cooker cook it?

  • I heard that you have to add one cooking hour every time you open the lid...

  • "When the container or lid are hot"? Shouldn't it be, "When the container or lid is hot'?

Someone please get back to me on this. Thanks

  • @snowmountain2007 no, because the lid and the container are two different separate things.

  • she was cutting on glass too - yeah that's really great for the knife to keep its edge ... NOT

  • i dunno who the dummy is..the way she cutting her meat suggest this vid mus be for herself lmao

  • OH my!!!! who cuts meat like that?!? and dummies really should stay away from glass cutting boards, way to slippery and will dull you knives!

  • She's a dummy!

  • dumb vid for bumb people.

  • This video should have 17 Dislikes and 1 Like (from the woman's husband or mother or someone that really likes her in spite of being a dangerous and horrible cook). Do yourself a favor and forget you ever saw this video.

  • That's the most awkward cutting job I've ever seen. I don't know if I take this advice seriously because of it.

  • You can use raw poultry or beef but should cook a minimum of 3 hours on high heat. Combinations of raw meat and fresh vegetables should cook at least 4 hours on high heat.

  • woman can't use a knife

  • Safety tip! That crock pot is not on the table/counter properly for most of this video, that is dangerous, someone could be scalded, especially a little person who may run by and catch the electrical cord.

You can use frozen veggies, just thaw them in a sink of cold water first.

  • what did she cook????

  • The way she cuts the meat is sooooooooo scary, some dummies could really get hurt by cutting this way. Safety is always your first call

  • @alstonian78 lmbo! right!

  • wow learn how to cut meat and flip meat

  • @dncdragon she should go read the "how to cut meat for dummies" book! hahaha

  • It cooks while you work...ya come home and eat...pretty awesome! Thank you for taking the time to make this video!

  • I still do not get the benefits to use a "slow" cooker!!!!!

  • @larryv75xxx I can help. Very short prep time. Tender meat and tasty veggies all cooked while you were away doing other things. The smell of the food is also fantastic. Or you can always pop a hot pocket into the microwave and eat some junk food. Or take two pieces of bread and place a slice of deli meat in between, that's pretty quick. It's all about fast! Don't want slow, everything needs to be fast. Boss man needs his riches. Turn off your tv larry. And turn on your brain.
