I suppose what it really comes down to is that our choco-socialogical mentality has changed. In the 50s, a Tootsie Roll was simply a hunk of chewy chocolate yummy stuff. That was all there was to it. Life was cool.

50 years later, it seems that anything round, cylindrical, and brown, is interpreted by the current warped generation as a turd. It's not the Tootsie Roll's fault. It hasn't changed at all. It's the frickin' weird shit-for-brains kids we've given birth to who've screwed it up. :-)

i found out the reason it looks like poo paul, the reason they look like a square cylinder is because in the late 40`s it was just a block. people wanted to take off peices instead of just biting it. if you look at your tootsie roll it has 3 grooves in it. wich would be 3 peices of tootsie because people want to take off peices instead of just shuving it in there mouth
