Shin splints? Increase weekly mileage by no more than 10%, and focus running form. Foot strike?

Increase set duration by 1 minute per week until problem solved. If splints return, start where you left off. Note: if you are working them properly, your shins will hurt after these drills.

But running the same distance everyday is not going to help much, you have to go further as you become fitter and secondly, you have to mix up the distances. For instance, one day a 20min run at 80% heart rate and the next a 45min run at 60% then the third day a track session of 10 x 200m at 70% with 30seconds rest between each 200m. And so forth

If you're just starting out, any amount of running is very helpful/beneficial for you. Just the fact that you can get out there and run unlike a lot of people is good. However, if in the future you wish to become a more effective/a better runner you'll have to change your program and start to improve other factors.
Nutrition (Even a slightly bad diet can mean you aren't burning off as much fat as you could be, or aren't receiving the right nutrients you need for running) Strengthening other parts (Core, chest, arms back, flexibility) Intensity (Low intensity will = low progress) And other things.

@standardgear You should try Tai Chi . I do it every day for like 20-30 minutes and it helps alot.

I usually do running 3-4 times a week but go on the elliptical for 20 mins 2 times a week. Will the elliptical help with the breathing also?

quite a few studies about that now, ever since 2007 a whole bunch of universities have been testing that. So far it seems you can reproduce brain cells, or "reactivate" some.

acually smoking green does help alittle.... the reason why u get high is because u get to much oxegen in yo brain... u get alot of oxygen in ur lungs to.... the smoke does cause sum cell lost, and mouth cancer but thats it

If you're just starting out, any amount of running is very helpful/beneficial for you. Just the fact that you can get out there and run unlike a lot of people is good. However, if in the future you wish to become a more effective/a better runner you'll have to change your program and start to improve other factors.

Nutrition (Even a slightly bad diet can mean you aren't burning off as much fat as you could be, or aren't receiving the right nutrients you need for running) Strengthening other parts (Core, chest, arms back, flexibility) Intensity (Low intensity will = low progress) And other things.
