This is as perfect a Bach interpretation that I have heard, only in my opinion of course. The soloist, conductor and orchestra, all perfect. All the players involved disappear and I can feel the emotion Bach wrote as if he were singing it himself. That is imo the goal and they have accomplished it and then some!
I never said it is easy to play J.S Bach. I do believe his musics are not only the most deramatic but also the most defficult ones to play. However even if you are not gifted enough to play it as Bach ment it to be heard (( and I don't think there are many who can say they do, if any )) still even the sound of a simpler version makes you wonder and and in the teeth of its beauty shudder.

j'ai eu un immense plaisir à voir jouer RENAUD CAPUCON à la salle PLEYEL à PARIS en 2009. Je le retrouve ici avec autant de virtuosité. Un vrai bonheur. <3
even if a monkey palys J.S Bach, looks like an angel. it doesn't matter how he plays as long az the music is this good, I love it. Bach is one of the best gifts nature had given us.
you really think, that bach is so simple? just play it and it will be beautiful? xDD you´re very naive!! xDD look at all international violin competitions, 1.round: bach............there is a reason for that:
to play bach interesting and beautiful, to "speak" through his music is one of the most difficult task for violinist (me including^^)
@magicviolin1991 i think what hogsprinc is trying to say is that bach's music is that good and sublime that even the progression of the notes themselves ring out like church bells

He's too much moving up and down, we never see yehudi menhuin or Isthak Stern or Hilary Hann or Anne sophie Mutter Or david Oistrakh playing this way, It's a show and not violin.watching gives a headache.
tednudgee, this is the third movement from the violin concerto in A minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, BWV 1041. BWV stands for Bach-Werke Verzeichnis and is a catalog of Bach's works, so the number (1041 in this case) identifies the particular work.

I can't put it to right words, but it's just not Bach. it's not soulful and intimate. more like a brave marching band

The bow really does look long, but perhaps it's just the horizontal:vertical aspect ratio.
