  • where to download this game ?

  • But does it have the hilarious music of the original game?

  • I love it! I just read a review on Gamespot of this game where they call its graphics are "near photo realistic" LOL

  • Oh happy memories, even including all of the racing games made since, this is still the best racing game i've ever played, PERIOD!

I would absolutely love the opportunity to play this again sometime

  • This must be one of the greatest break throughs in race game simulation history!

  • @sweikese Indeed in no other game have I had an Oil Leak, Electronic failure or a Puncture for that matter

  • This game looks like a real labor of love by the developers. :)

  • A real gem of a game. Remember playing this as a kid all the time and it was only a few years back I learned about the continuing modding community. Shame I can't get it to work at all on Vista but on the plus side I still have the old Gateway I used to play it on.

    Good times.

  • JerseyJH, u can get GP2 to run on vista, download DOSBox, install it and then look on the web for a tutorial.

  • I've tried it but iirc something didn't work very well for me.

However I do have a Windows 2000 PC I've acquired although no CD drive. I'm hoping I can copy all the CD data onto the HDD and install that way :)

Thanks for the help though :)

  • questo è stato e sarà per me il miglior gioco di F1 mai fatto!!un gioiello..

  • boasting some of the best graphics around!

    how things have changed!

  • il meglio gioco del mondoooooooooo

  • this was great when it came back in 96. It was when damon hill was number 1

  • my first PC was in 95, K5 100mhz, 16mb RAM, 1mb VGA. later on in 97 i upgreaded to K6-233mhz 128mb RAM(the top in that year !!!) and 4mb VGA.

i still remember that in those days, every game, run on every system... now-a-days, you need to have the top end PC to still DON'T RUN games with most quality features eneabled.

    shame!

  • my very first game for pc. bought it in 1996 and played on an Intel 200 MHz 16 mb ram win95 machine with 2MB ATI gfx card lol

  • the most impressive graphics around... Just imagine where we're gonna be in another ten or so years.

  • 3-D holograms of course!

  • ..boasting some of the most impressive polygon graphics around!

  • sure.....

  • @easyplex what racetrack did the makers use for this game?

  • This one was the first released for PC, even though it was a CPU guzzler. I think back then nobody could play at a decent framerate with all details activated and at more than 640x480 shown here.

  • Oops, I forgot, there was a previous version for PC designed to run only under DOS and with sound from the system speaker. GP2 instead was the first designed to run under DOS or Windows 95

  • ...and with true multimedia option :-D (remember that multimedia was an option back then)

  • My Amiga is all yellow and dead with a green screen of death. Ive reseated the chips and still dead. I loved playing this thing.

    AMIGA!!!!

  • aaah, the pixeled cars. :)

I've played this game for many many years.

    GP3 and GP4 also.

  • Did anyone play the original Grand Prix Manager? That was the music, great times.

  • :) Nice

  • Man, That voiceover!
