Arturia Jupiter 8v demo

I used to own a real Jupiter-8 years ago. While you can program some cool sounds with the Arturia software, the sound isn't really close to the real deal. I'd go as far enough to say it's one of my least favorite soft synths. Yes, I do own it.

Guys, be not fooled... Arturia might sound great on paper... but when you get your hands on the "real deal" you will realize. I own Minimoogs, Jupiter 8's even CS-80's.... Arturia does not even come close, sorry... but you haven't a clue...;c)

@noddyspuncture I feel you. I ain't knockin the virtual synth either but like Marvin and Tammy use to say back in the day, "Aint nothing like the real thing!" On one hand I felt this makes these new school musicians "LAZY" cause Original "Keyboard Playing" Gangers came with monster keyboard setup, like Keith Emerson, Larry Dunn of EWF and countless other. Those cats really got their hands dirty.

how does this work? can u plug a keyboard into the pc and control it? or can u press the keyboard buttons on the screen and choose all those types of features and stuff?

Absalutely awesome...ive used artoria stuff for years now and love them...i currently have 6 artoria synths which im now selling as a single package as the licence for all 6 is on a dongle....

can you save anything with the demo? can you import presets? what cant you do with the demo version that you can with the full?

@electroonsy By the first time I had tried it I didn't like the presets so much.I programmed my own sound quickly and I realized that it's by far better than I thought.I don't use the internal effects at all I have better results using external vst plug ins so you should try it too

Here's my 2 cents: I think if you recorded this through a speaker, then it really would be hard to tell it from the real thing. Soft synths seem to need some "air" added to the sound to bring them to life.

this is great im doing a solo project & want to get sum nick rhodes ( duran duran ) type sounds, i think this will do it !

Filter sweeps in the end, as well as pads sound very close to the real thing
