  • Couldn't find it under Gregsguitars....actually I did see the cover but couldn't find the tabs. Now there is nothing on the internet that I can find as far as free tabs. it all costs now. Things are so different these days. Can anyone show me a free tab site where I can learn Slabo Day, or just a good instructional video??? thanks

  • Have been listening endlessly to 'Slabo Day'...and figure that if I listen to it enough, one day I will wake up and play it!!! Is there any instructional video on it? I don't think it is on this Learn to play PG DVD. Too bad, as it is phenomenal. Let me know if anyone knows of this....and yes, to me there is no one like PG. Listen to 'Little Dreamer', and sometimes I swear I hear Hendrix's voice. I bet PG influenced him some....

  • @zippers2 Gregsguitars did a cover of it, if you do a search for Slabo Day Cover you should see it. He also posted a 4 part tab I've been wanting to study from his personal website listed under 'Show More' from his cover. Haven't heard 'Little Dreamer' in a long while, I'll have to purchase it since I don't yet own a copy other than Van Halen's. Thanks for your comments, hope this helps.

  • Would love to hear a take on "Love That Burns"...

  • Great stuff, thanks :)

  • "A much forgotten and incredible guitar player in his day" ...... MUCH FORGOTTEN???? --- I don't think so.

  • @AlanSturgess

No he is. Hardly anyone under the age of about 40 even knows who he is. Everyone knows Clapton but very few know Peter Green. Presumably because of his mental breakdown in the seventies or eighties

  • @toby099 Mmmm - doesn't explain the sell-out concerts since his return nor the fact that so many guitar legends name him as one of the greatest blues guitarists (and fans bigger than BBK don't come much bigger!). Personally, I'd say that any electric guitarist worth their salt who hasn't heard pf PG hasn't yet looked deeply enough into the history of their instrument. But everyone to their own.

  • @AlanSturgess yeah i' never heard of him , i just stumbled to a video of green manalishi , and i was like amazed and went looking for pete stuff, then i heard 'then play on', man peter kills clapton easily during the 60's

  • anyone knows the name of the first song?

  • @noremorse146 Man of the World.

  • @noremorse146 Man of the world

  • @noremorse146

    "Man of the World"

  • You did Peter Green proud! Great job throughout.

  • Michael is scheduled to do a rumours era fkeetwood mac DVD the first half of this year. And hopefully, a Peter Green volume 2 soon after.

  • I absolutely love Fleetwood Mac. I wish they'd do a LTP Fleetwood Mac, Part II DVD with Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman, and other Lindsay B guitar songs. And a Part III with Rick Vito and Billy Burnette songs. I own about 6 or 7 of their DVDs, all are good.

  • I did buy this DVD, and it's real good. God how I wish he had done a video on Need Your Love So Bad.

  • @NicolletIslandSlim Great track I missed Guitar techniques and they did "Out of reach" luv that song too.

  • Hi, Michael - great lesson !

What kind of Les Paul Model is ist ?

  • I have a few dvd's from Lick Library Floyd Beatles and best of all - Peter Green. Brilliant

I gotta say Michael Casswell is the man

  • u know what ?

i find the guitar very fucking awesome

  • I bought this dvd from amazon. If you order it from licklibrary you might not ever get it. I ordered santana Mar 31from the licklibrary site and still haven't received it (May 18). It ships from england and that could be why. But i must say that this dvd is excellent and very easy to follow. Very easy.

  • Michael Casswell is a great teacher and a great guitar player .

I have the beatles 1-2 and stones lick library - hope to get this one soon.

  • great video bud ...Oh well is my fav...it just rock's ...

    ..

  • These songs are just great and as a beginner they're some way out of my league but what the hell, can anyone think of better tunes to practice with....

  • This looks fantastic.

  • One of the fine things about the original Fleetwood Mac was it had two exceptional blues singer, Peter and Jeremy Spencer.

Again, many thanks for your good work on the DVD. I love Peter's original Fleetwood Mac recordings. They are a joy to listen to.

  • His singing was a significant differentiator between himself and his brilliant guitar playing English contemporaries [Clapton, Beck, Page and Mick Taylor].

Of the big five Yardbirds and Blues Breakers guitarists, Peter was the only one who sang well and confidently right from the beginning.

We know Beck and Page dont sing at all. We also know that Claptons and Taylors singing is weak by comparison to Peter.

  • Thank you for the thoughtful analysis and skilled breakdowns of Peter's classic songs.

The rest of us have been done a great service by having this done for us by someone who understands the nuances of this artists style.

We know Peter had an unnaturally natural feeling for playing the blues. But I want to praise his singing ability too.

  • Yeah man! if you wanna play it properly listen a little better----especially the Manalishi----there's no slide down

  • Excellent! I agree about Peter's playing, it does have something really special. Every time you listen carefully you can hear some little thing that you missed before.

Thanks for putting this up and kudos to Michael for getting so close;-)

  • there will be no other like Peter - ever

  • Listen to Stan Webb of Chickenshack too far better than Clapton IMHO and rated as one of the 4 best in the UK in the 1960's

  • Thanks GtrTech, I'll look him up, for shure. Don't know about Clapton comment though since we all have different likes & dislikes I try not to compare, In My Humble Opinion Also!

  • yes great band!!...peter's bassist's wife sang in chicken shack...at least for a little while

  • the only chick played in Chicken Shack was Christine McVie and that was John MCVies wife that bassist from Fleetwood Mac

  • thats exactly wat i said

  • by peter's bassist.. you mean John McVie?.. cus you bove comment cofuzzled me lol

  • ya high school wasn't my thing...lol.....so my english is not too good....(spend ma time listenin to peter green lol)

  • lol thats ok i was staring at the comment going.. wtf?! lol... loove chicken shack tho.. awesome!

  • where do i get this from?

  • Wolf4u2: I really want this CD. Man of the World is one of my all-time favorites. Peter Green was every bit as good as Beck, Clapton, Page, etc...as BB King said, he's the only guy that ever made him sweat. So how do I import it? Many thanks.

  • so deep romantic song, thank you so much for posting Wolf4u2 !

  • Great job! One night in '68 I wandered into the Fillmore West in SF.On the bill was a band called Fleetwood Mac. I had heard Peter Green on "Hard Road," but, like many then, dismissed him as a 'Clapton-clone.' I thought, probably, FMAC was his version of Cream. At the Time I only listened to BB. Man, he blew me sideways that night with a completely chromed (foil?) '59 Les Paul (only 9 years old then!). I was instantly a fan and I went back the next year; heard him with Danny Kirwan. Stil a fan

  • I have not seen this DVD but agree with all the comments this guy makes about the great Peter Green. On the basis of the short clips in this video this man can really play too - brilliant! Where can you get hold of the DVD?!

  • if you are in the US you'd have to import it
