i lived in maadi for 9 years then moved to katameya heights new cairo for 4 yrs i miss egypt so much :'( 1 day ill go bk and i had thee same driver for 13 yrs i miss u william i lived on mustafa kamal street and orabi street EGYPT LOVE FOREVER :'( im indian born in egypt
Beautiful beautiful Egypt..We lived in Cairo in the early 80's. My brother and I went to the British International School in Zamalek..My parents just loved Egypt very much. I want to visit Cairo one day.
best memories of my childhood spent there, I would go most summers there to visit my grandparents. it's like my second home. seeing it makes my heart smile.
I remember Maadi very well, we had friends there when we lived in Cairo in the early 80's. Unfortunately very close to Maadi is the biggest smelliest rubbish dump nicknamed 'shit city' established from the rich pickings of the US community.
The poor locals live on this dump with their pigs!
We lived in an apartment near Ain Shams University, our purpose being the Gas pipeline through the Sahara & subsequent piping of natural gas into the suburbs. I loved Cairo but the poverty disturbed me.
I lived in maadi for 10 years on rd 210 which you kinda see when you drive past kimo market... Theres no better place in the world than Egypt! 07 baby
Great I appreciate it I am a Street performer a Magician and there is alot of Contraverial answers I have been getting from people about Muslims viewing magic as evil ,I want to preform for Tourist from abroud not the Muslim Community on the streets that is what I do for a living Iam also an avid researcher of ancient Egyptian Culture and in lots of Documents especially the Westcar papyrus Magic was prevalent I just find it Hypocritical if Muslims like
zahi hawas can use the Museum to make millions of dollars off Ancient Egyptian culture that used magic but if I preform it I am seen as evil.Very Strange well my question is have you seen any street performers doing magic in Egypt thanks
@TheMarketingMike I dont think you'll have a problem man they arent like some medieval people who think of it as black magic, infact I think the street kids would love it!
Ma'adi is beautiful. I miss late night walks with my boyfriend to the kiosk or grocery story. I came all the way from Midwest America to Maadi just to meet the love of my life. :)
Aww, my beautiful Misr. I miss it soooo much! The most beautiful place in the world is to sit in a palm orchard in Faiyum and listen to the adhan over lake Qaroon.
My roomate and I miss Maadi so much. In Maadi we felt what it means to be alive; and everywhere is a deep, incommunicable, upwelling gratitude for ones life. ODU, CAC, The Crew :) - Derek, Jerry

We had some excellent tee-shirts printed in CAC Maadi (Cairo American College)
"We're not Tourists We Live Here"
Very handy when shopping :)
and other tee shirts saying
"Ma'lesh"
Happy days
