@kecskesajt HE IS! I actually just got back from a trip to Dubai and we saw him TWICE (which we weren't expecting). First we saw him at the same Desert Safari Tour, then we went on a dhow cruise, and he was there again!
@MonaTheBellydancer The first part is from original song in 1960's by Syrian Fahd Ballan_Washrah Laha Aan Halati (means I explained to her about my love status). Here, it is played with Org and Drums at a faster rhythm, repeatedly. The song lyrics at the end are specific to this dance type known as Darawish. This clip is short, the full music is 15 minutes, so you can imagine the effort of those guys.
@sasguru1 I love this music and have it on CD but I would like to know who it is by and what are the Arabic words at the beginning and the end - sounds like "Dura Bena" or something similar? and what do these words mean?
@fluffylovey Here is the translation. *Ah..Ah..Ah (Oh..Oh..Oh) Doury Beena Doury Beena (Spin Us Spin Us) Ya Ard El Rawenda (You Rounded Earth) We Ehki Leana (And Tell Us) Hekayet Dehka (A Story of a Smile) Manousha Bel Henna (Decorated with Henna) *Ehna Welad Ahl El Belad (We are the Natives) Masr Ya..Ma Adetna (Egypt..Never Clashed With Us) Dal Gameesh Amana Fi Esmo (That Titillation is a Trust in Her Name) We Ehna Ahbab..Oloulna (And We are Lovers..Tell Us)
