Weed is a killer. I had an uncle that overdosed, and a cousin that sold all our furniture for an edible. I got addicted to it as well and am currently selling my body, just to supply my habit. I can't be the only one who becomes a total man slut every time I smoke. I'm just saying the truth should be known. Is there any big tiggered lady's who would trade a gram for some nipple suck, cuz I'm a victim of my addiction:) just kidding burgers kill you faster than smoking weed kid lol
Currently 15 US states with legal medpot. Mansanto seeks to patent their gm'ed medpot with terminator seeds. Medpot WILL be owned by big pharm and big ag. GM'ed MJ with higher THC vs cannabinoids causes higher incident of psychotic experience. Reefermadness was reverse psychology. War on drugs was a lie. Gov want you sleepy, hungry, complacent and psychotic. Weed is no longer sacred. Has been molested and used to control and enslave you. PLease wake up. Thumbs up to keep this seen and you free.
What an amazing hydro shop! Those systems are really highly-sophisticated that you can actually control your plants’ feed cycle through your iPhone! That’s amazing indeed! I wonder if that can also be used for other crops aside from cannabis plants.
I guess if the tax & reg people get it legal that would be good, but I'm pretty sure it will be used as a way to legislate 'morality' by the do-gooders and we'll end up with 50%+ taxes before long.
Its too bad that Prop 19 failed otherwise California could drop the "Medical MJ" bullshit and call it what it really is - "The Super Dank Get You High Off Your Balls Weed Party" industry. The Med MJ movement was never truly only about helping the very sick. There are hundreds of thousands of "patients" but only a tiny fraction need MJ to help with serious illness. The rest are just getting high cuz getting high is awesome.
@Spectreman It's almost like a like a legal loop hole. Just like people calling fake mj "Incense" and other drugs as something like "bath salts". Or how they label the stuff "not for human consumption" or how on the websites they put saying up like "We do not recommend you try our stuff". It's just a cover up to protect their asses, no one actually believes that stuff.
Really? So what is the cost of a person just growning it in there backyard? Five bucks at the most.. Makes no sence to spend 10 grand when you can just grow the plants in your own yard.
@SharkDude1 Well, as with any kind of agriculture, the more sophisticated your tech, the bigger your harvest will be. If you just plant corn in your back yard, sure, you'll grow enough corn to eat for a month, but you wont have enough corn to feed 50 customers for a month.
I have grown and used weed for nearly 20 years. Not once have I seen any dangers arise from it. Users aren't violent, nor are they criminals. The only violence I can see, is if men in blue shirts turn up with guns and dogs.
there are a few smokers criminal . Or even addicted .
I've noticed over the years that the effects on people are very diffrent .
Ofcourse you have connouiseurs , fun smokers , medicalpeople ...................................................................... but there are also people who are really addicted to it !
It just depends on the person's IQ .
I would never recommend some1 smoking with a IQ lower than 99
The only problem with the Semi Truck growing arrangement is, if too many people get involved in that? It'll drive the price WAY down since the market will be flooded. I wouldn't complain though.
Speaking of growth, perhaps the marijuana and ED pill industries can come together and help each other out. Marivagra, anyone? Cialjane? That sounds awesome, being high AND being able to get a boner to fuck.
Legalize it! All over the world! It´s a peace maker...no doubt about that! it may make you slow at times, but, fuck this fast -paced -full - of- stress life standard we´re all being forced to live in...
In the future we will need to grow food in limited space with high yield close to population centers with massive composting, topsoil recycle, and closed loop water systems.
Legalize it in grounds of personal liberty alone. Free up police, court and prison resources in the process. This is instant money saved even with a 0% tax on the stuff.
Pick your battles, all I can say. This is the real world, sadly.
Come on, people are not fully allowed to just grow crops for themselves without government regulation and intervention. You want total freedom? Good luck, most people seem very happy with selling away their individual rights for 'security'.
This is what I hate about Reason Magazine. They work so hard to glorify or normalize potheads. Let's face facts. Stoners are worthless to mankind, and only drain resources from society. Casual weed smokers aren't as bad, but it makes them achieve less in life than they could. I'm ok with legalizing it, but don't try to make it sound like it's a GOOD thing. It's not. It's a waste of your life.
Funny. You could say those exact words about the elderly, without switching the terms around all that much.
I'm not comparing your view to someone attempting to legalize forced euthanasia, but if you're going to use resources or just personal opinion to set your standards, you really aren't arguing that much of a different point. You're still using your standards to dictate how other people live.
You're not that bright, are you? I mean, that's just pathetic.
I directly correlated your argument to another potential argument, and explained how your argument could be used against other groups. How the judgment of 'value' is such a loose and slippery thing.
So, to answer? My grandmother, the last one alive, is around 90. She can't remember things well, and sometimes forgets how we're related, or my name. It's sad to see her like this, and I love her. She's my grandma.
@AnarchistDictator Yes. That you have an excellent job and that marijuana is not the reason that you don't get promoted. I have an alcoholic acquaintance who denies the problem too, and he seems to get along ok. I suspect you'll be able to as well.
@blogegog I recently left high school and now have a degree level job, earning above the national average. I am also getting promoted in just under two months. Don't assume you know everything about a person just because they smoke in their spare time ;)
@AnarchistDictator I believe you without question. No one ever lies on the internet. Especially not stoners.
Sadly, I went to high school with a number of pothead friends, and even a few who made it a year or two into college. It turned out well in 0% of the cases (imo only. They're happy pumping gas and working in convenience stores). I believe they were all intelligent, so I'm blaming the weed. But don't worry. You can always apply for a job at Reason or High Times :).
@blogegog You blame it on the weed, but it's clearly the fault of prohibition that suppressed the entrepreneurial sophistication and tech creativity you can see in this video. When it is legal, as in Portugal, the user rate actually goes down, people can use it openly just like alcohol so parents and responsible people are more in control, not the criminals. Our drug problems are the fault of the Drug Wars that criminalize and jail innocents while making rewards high for drug lords.
@leafwatch I hope the prop passes in CA, primarily to test your theory. It makes no sense that use goes down when weed is legal. I also doubt that there are people who don't smoke it because its ILLEGAL.
I absolutely support legalizing it in CA. If people are going to smoke it, let's make sure drug lords don't benefit from that fact. But I have to be honest and say that I have very little respect for people who use it. Not 'try it'. 'Use it'.
@JaydeeVonJ Experience. Yours might be different. The consistent pot users that I know have become serious drags on society, and I firmly believe that would not have happened if they weren't weed smokers. Their track record is worse than heroin addicts! Yeah, I come from the bad part of town :). But heroin addicts quickly reach a point where they quit or they die, and my exp is that quitters do well. Weed smokers never seem to reach that nirvana and just suck forever.
@blogegog There is no shortage of bullshit, vacuous anecdotes like yours floating around on the web or life. If you are a lazy dumbshit after you smoke marijuana, chances are, you were a lazy dumbshit before smoking marijuana. I know plenty of successful professionals that use regularly, I also know plenty of morons that use regulary. Marijuana had nothing to do with who they became, save your prohibitionist crap for another channel.
I do believe in legalization, we tend to give a rosy view of the economic benefits. We have to take into account the things that will retard the short term benefits (10-20 yrs)
1) We're running under autarky - no trade (trade helps make us richer, faster). 2) you probably won't see Philip Morris brand weed (which means higher costs due to high first time costs for entrepreneurs) 3) Walmart probably won't sell it so retail costs will be higher. 4) local gov't regs and taxes increase costs.
@MagnusIan So you think that prohibition is better than tax and regulate? Alcohol prohibition would still be enforced today if people held out for tax free and regulation free booze. Sometimes you have to pick your battles. I prefer tax and regulate vs seizing and prison any day. If I thought that I could get a majority for marijuana decriminalization I would but it simply isn't realistic. And being able to identify the reality of the situation doesn't make me any less a Libertarian.
@MagnusIan Why don't you calm the fuck down, Magnuslan. You did state that pot should not be taxed or regulated. Which I said I agree but it isn't a realistic political position to take. My comment about being realistic not making me less Libertarian should have been directed at jjepen21.
